zonic joins dignitas as coach
dignitas have announced that they have hired former mTw member Danny "zonic" Sørensen to coach their CS:GO team.
Danny "zonic" Sørensen retired from gaming in March 2012 following a trophy-laden career that saw him win most of the international titles in the Counter-Strike scene, especially in 2008, when his mTw squad were one step above the rest.
Back in February, zonic revealed that he was weighing up the possibility of returning to action, just weeks after his former team-mate Oliver "minet" Minet had decided to play actively again.
zonic will attend offline events with dignitas
And while zonic's prospective comeback is nothing more than conjecture for now, the Danish veteran has agreed to join dignitas' backroom staff as a CS:GO coach.
dignitas will hope that the injection of experience will allow the team to bounce back from their collapse at the ESL One Cologne qualifier, where defeats against Team Kinguin and FlipSid3 saw them miss out on a place at the upcoming major.
zonic is expected to make his first official appearance for dignitas on Thursday already as the team will attend the Acer Predator Masters finals.
