PGL Season 1 group draw

The draw has been made for the group stage of PGL Season 1's divisions in Europe and North America.

Eight European and four North American teams will compete in the online group stage of PGL Season 1, the successor to the CCS Kick-Off Season, which saw TSM take home the top prize of $40,000.

The three group winners will automatically qualify for the season finals, from October 2-4 in Bucharest, where they will be joined by a fourth a team, which will be determined by a last-chance tournament with the remaining six European sides.

Titan replace NiP in the list of participants

Due to scheduling conflicts, Ninjas in Pyjamas have decided to pull out of the league, with the Swedish giants' spot being taken by Titan.

There are still three places up for grabs across the two divisions, which will be filled through qualifiers that will take place in the coming weeks.

Below you can find the group draw in full:

CIS Natus Vincere France EnVyUs United States CLG

Meanwhile, PGL has announced that CCS casting duo Matthew "Sadokist" Trivet and Joona "natu" Leppänen are back for the new season and will be joined by Henry "HenryG" Greer.

The prize breakdown for the PGL finals remains the same from the CCS Kick-off Season, so the $75,000 pot will be distributed as follows:
1. $40,000
2. $20,000
3. $10,000
4. $5,000

Both Nv and Titan are now different teams, so I'm not expecting them to play at the same level as they did at their previous levels (before the slump of both teams).

throughout the history of cs going back 14years now, when a great team shuffles, they always come back stronger then they were before.. So I expect it to be even harder.

Probably. From their website: "Four other European teams, Gamers2, Mousesports, Team Dignitas and HellRaisers, will get a direct invite for the EU qualifiers semifinals, where they will face two teams from each of the EU open brackets." NiP declined if these teams were invited over NiP
