EnVyUs move on to Cologne final
EnVyUs are moving on to the grand final of ESL One Cologne following a 2-1 series over TSM (de_cache 16-12, de_dust2 8-16, de_inferno 16-9).
ESL One Cologne's first semi-final started with de_cache, understandably EnVyUs's pick. The first three rounds saw rounds going back and forth, with TSM eventually coming out on top for 2-1 and eventually 5-1 after a couple more gunrounds.
EnVyUs didn't leave any more room to breath as Terrorists for the Danish squad afterwards though, as they kept piling up more and more pressure onto their opposition with executes all around the map for a 10-5 half in their favor.
Thanks to another pistol round, and this time also a successful couple of anti-ecos, TSM were able to even the scoreline at 10-10. The Frenchmen with Fabien "kioShiMa" Fiey on the front lines then got on the board with a couple of rounds going their way, but Nicolai "device" Reedtz's solo double kill at middle put them back on an eco.
Two rounds went all the way down to the wire, but both went EnVyUs' way, making the difference in the end, as they went up 1-0 in the series following a 16-12 scoreline on de_cache.

TSM started even better on de_dust2, as they went up 7-0 with Finn "karrigan" Andersen scoring 12 kills up to that point. From there on though, it was like EnVyUs flipped a switch, since they scored five rounds in a row without dropping more than two people in either.
In the end TSM still won the half 9-6 as Terrorists, topping it off with a pistol round, both anti-ecos and the first gunround for 14-6. EnVyUs managed to slip two rounds through, but it was too little too late as TSM closed map two 16-8.
de_inferno was chosen by the randomizer to decide who goes on to the grand final. EnVyUs took over the match early on and for a long streak of rounds TSM couldn't find any answers.
The Danish lineup only scored three rounds as Counter-Terrorists, but a fifth pistol round going their way in the series helped them lower the deficit to seven rounds. For five rounds on TSM's side, EnVyUs got two and were two rounds away from the ESL One Cologne grand final.
TSM still had enough in the bank thanks to not dying much to the French forcebuys, but it wasn't enough as Dan "apEX" Madesclaire defused the bomb in a 2-on-2 for match point. Only two rounds after, match point was traded for a grand final spot on the EnVyUs side at 16-9.
