September 3rd, 2015 14:01

The MixBOT Pro-League Invite Season 1 is about to start, with 16 teams from across Asia battling it out for $3,000 in cash prizes.

Hosted by Idea Field, a Hong Kong-based company, the inaugural season of the MixBot Pro-League will see 16 of Asia's best teams compete from September 12 to October 5 for the first prize of $2,000.

The competition will kick off with a best-of-one double-elimination group stage. The four group winners automatically advance to the quarter-finals, while the remaining teams will be placed in a second group stage with four groups of three teams.

wanr0's MVP.Karnal will face TheMongolz in the first round

This second group stage, which will also feature a best-of-one format, will determine the last four sides that will be reaching the single-elimination, best-of-three playoffs.

Don't you think valve should sponsor this tournament and raise the prizepool a bit? It'll help attract more pro players from the Asian FPS games (A.V.A, SF, etc.)
