eBettle becomes Vexed Gaming
Team eBettle have announced that they will play under the name Vexed Gaming going forward.
The former INSHOCK team caught headlines in July when they signed for eBettle after searching for an organisation that could provide them with the tools to scale greater heights.
While defending the Cyprus-based betting company, the team acquitted themselves really well and qualified for ESL One Cologne, where they would finish 9th-16th following defeats against fnatic and CLG.
Hyper & co to play for Vexed Gaming
In an effort to distance the organisation from betting-related controversy, eBettle's esports section has now been rebranded as Vexed Gaming, a move that potentially opens the door to future expansions into other games.
"This was a difficult decision, but we decided to separate our esports organisation from eBettle Ltd, in order to become more independent and reach new goals," a statement from Vexed Gaming owner Frederik Vig read.
"Most of the people behind the team will remain, but we have made a few additions to strengthen our abilities of supporting our CS:GO team and expand into new markets."
The team's first appearance for Vexed Gaming will take place next week, at DreamHack Open Stockholm, where they will face Titan, Skyred and HellRaisers in the group stage.
