Epiphany signs KappaKappa
Following the loss of its Finnish team to RCTIC eSports, Epiphany turns to a Swedish-Danish mix known as KappaKappa in the hopes of shepherding a new European force.
Epiphany (sometimes known as Epiphany Bolt) ventured into CS:GO back in May when it signed the Finnish team who had hitherto been known as tryPANTS.
This team went on to post up impressive results in a short span of time, such as qualifying for the ESL One Cologne European offline qualifier and making it to the playoffs of Assembly Summer 2015, performances which cemented the team's name and as a result saw them get poached by RCTIC eSports.
Epiphany has thus turned its attention to even newer talent by signing KappaKappa, a medley of Danish and Swedish players who actually also attended Assembly Summer 2015 and were previously known as Wrecking Gaming. The team was also last seen in the DreamHack Open Cluj pre-qualifier.
A statement by the Epiphany organisation sheds light on the signing:
"We received a lot of interest from various CS:GO teams and regions but we all agreed that KappaKappa is the team that we believe has the most potential and fits the goals of our organization. We really think this team can pickup where we last left off and push us to new heights."
Team member Mads "MomentPlz" Sørensen also added a statement of his own:
"We feel really great about joining Epiphany Bolt, as they are our first professional home in CS:GO. I have no doubts regarding what we can achieve together and we are already feel the love from the whole organization. Now we, as a team, just have to focus on the game itself and improve in order to achieve not only our own goals, but Epiphany’s as well. I would like to thank them for believing in us, and we’re more than ready to show people #TheBOLT!"
The new Epiphany lineup is:
The team is currently competing in CSHUB Season 1 as well as various editions of the QuickShot Arena tournaments (#8 and #9 most recently).
