DH Open Cluj groups revealed
The groups for the upcoming major, DreamHack Open Cluj-Napoca, which runs from October 28-November 1, have just been announced on DreamHack's website.
As usual, the teams were given "Legendary" and "Challenger" statuses, according to how they qualified for the major (eight from the previous major, eight from the LAN qualifier) with two of each placed in each group.
In likely the most competitive major so far, it looks like Titan will have an even harder time than usual to make it out of group stage, as they have been handed a tough group alongside Virtus.pro and NiP, as well as Liquid.
Titan have been dealt a tough hand
The veto system of the group stage has been changed significantly, interestingly enough the first to veto will actually get three vetoes. The other team only gets two, but has the right to pick the starting side on the map chosen randomly out of the last two:
- 1. Team #1 vetoes map
- 2. Team #2 vetoes map
- 3. Team #1 vetoes map
- 4. Team #2 vetoes map
- 5. Team #1 vetoes map
- 6. A randomizer will choose between the remaining two maps
- 7. Team #2 chooses sides
Without further ado, these are the groups for the seventh CS:GO major:
|Group A||Group B||Group C||Group D|
The first three days have been reserved for the group stage, which will mostly beplayed in a best-of-one, barring the decider match, featuring a best-of-three.
If you'd like to come to the event in person, head over to Esportshop to buy tickets. Bear in mind that the first day of groups will be closed off to the general public.
