madc leaves LDLC Blue
LDLC have announced on their website that Kevin "madc" Ducourtioux has stepped down from the Blue team.
The decision comes as a huge surprise as the French team had just won ESWC PGW - the biggest achievement in their history - after beating in the grand final LDLC's White roster, the more famous and storied of the two.
According to LDLC, Kevin "madc" Ducourtioux has stepped down from the roster "to join another team", who should be revealed soon. During his tenure in the Blue squad, he also helped the team to win Insalan and Epsilan 2015.
"This adventure is from far the best I ever experienced in CS," he said in a statement. "Full of motivation, ambition, achievements, but also some disappointments.
"I firmly believed until the last moment that we could win this Paris Games Week, and I knew that we had the potential. So that’s why I decided to play this last competition with my mates.
"Every single player on this team has great potential, yet unexploited, but my experience in this team during the last year get me to understand that we were too young and immature to make use of this potential, to pass a milestone to achieve success.
"It’s without regrets that I leave the team after this brilliant victory, and please don’t take this like a betrayal, but like a “good ending”, where we had to split in order to progress in the future."
LDLC are now on the lookout for a new fifth player for their Blue squad, which will attend Cap Arena #5, in Epône, from December 19-20. The team's lineup now looks as follows:
Julien "PetitSkel" Marcantoni
Charbel "BouLy" Naoum
Guillaume "XpG" Veron
David "Dewid" Thalien
