Luminosity, mouz win in Group A
The Brazilian Luminosity squad took down a lackluster Titan team 2-0 (16-6 on de_cache and 16-10 on de_cbble) while mousesports defeated Na`Vi in an upset series (16-10 on de_mirage and 16-7 on de_overpass).
The first two games of the CEVO Professional Season 8 finals at the MLG.tv arena saw the four teams of Group A face off in best-of-three series.
On the main stage, a Belgian-French Titan being led in-game by Richard "shox" Papillon rather than by Kévin "Ex6TenZ" Droolans opened up against Luminosity, who were returning from the major after having attained Legends status yet again.

However, the game was in Luminosity's palm as the Brazilians breezed through Titan on de_cache with a 16-6 game and then managed to stop an early Titan lead from spiraling out of control on de_cbble to win that map 16-10.
The second duel took place on an alternate stage and saw the grand finalists from Cluj Natus Vincere take on mousesports.
It was in this game where an upset was in order: mousesports were down 3-9 on the first map of de_mirage before the team rallied and began to punish Danylo "Zeus" Teslenko and his men for their sloppy play. Ultimately, with Nikola "NiKo" Kovač leading the charge, mouz took the first map 16-10.
Such a loss possibly unnerved Na`Vi as they played an even less certain overpass, which allowed the primarily German mousesports crew to jump in and snatch the second map 16-7.
