fnatic beat NiP to win fb Masters 5

MIRAA
December 6th, 2015 21:56

fnatic won the fifth edition of fragbite Masters following a 2-1 victory over Ninjas in Pyjamas (16-9 on de_train, 9-16 on de_dust2 and 16-12 on de_mirage).

The first couple of rounds on de_train were extremely highly contested as the teams traded round for round. After that, however, fnatic dictated the pace of the game and won several rounds in a row as NiP struggled to keep their defense tight. The rounds edged out by the ninjas were few and far between, and so it was with little surprise that fnatic enjoyed a comfortable 11-4 lead at the end of the half.

Things went from bad to worse for NiP in the second half as fnatic won the pistol round and the following two anti-ecos to take their lead to 14-4. It was then that the ninjas' offense finally came to life as they won five straight rounds, but then fnatic picked up two in a row to seal a 16-9 success.

fnatic claimed bragging rights first

The following map was de_dust2, where a 1vs2 clutch from Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund in the pistol round put NiP in the lead. That was the start of a fantastic run that saw NiP take a 5-0 lead before fnatic finally put their foot down to hold back their opponents. A quad kill from Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer put fnatic back in the game and powered the team to go on a red-hot seven-round winning streak. Still, NiP kept their composure and won the final three rounds of the half to take a narrow 8-7 half-time lead.

The second half began with NiP winning the pistol round - thanks to a triple kill from Aleksi "allu" Jalli - and the first anti-eco round to extend their lead to 10-7. A sensational quad kill from Dennis "dennis" Edman with the Desert Eagle gave fnatic a much-needed lifeline, but NiP never lost control of the game and took six of the following seven rounds to seal a 16-9 win and level the series.

NiP fought back but were unable to go the extra mile

de_mirage was the decider map, and here NiP came out of the gate with fire in their belly as they dominated proceedings early on and cruised to a 7-0 lead. A no-nonsense B push then finally gave fnatic their first round on the board, and NiP struggled to keep their opponents at bay during the final stages of the half, with only three rounds separating the two sides at the break.

During the initial stages of the second half, rounds went back and forth, but then NiP let their lead slip away as fnatic overturned a 7-11 deficit to secure a hard-fought 2-1 victory and pick up their second title in the space of week.

typing 2 versions while game. picking the one which "fits" after the game. changing little details (how the match started, who was most impact player, bla bla...) at least some news stations do it like this while a sports match...

2015-12-06 22:12
Hmmm
2015-12-06 22:12
typical NiP with mistakes
2015-12-06 22:12
As usual, when it truly matters NIP's old core can't deal with the pressure, with the exception of GTR. This lineup will never win anything again. Looks like allu had another good performance while forest let his level drop in the final again. Yet people will be screaming "-allu".
2015-12-06 22:22
dont look at stats only pls... even u can perform similarly if play with nip.. he can only do EASYYY kill..and bait his team
2015-12-06 22:36
Show me kills where GT baited his team this match mate, just get a fucking grip. If you are the lurker you should never bait your team so they die and then you get that kill. That is not what GT is doing either. GT have NEVER baited a teammate for a kill, if you think that is the role of a lurker, just get your fucking facts straight silver_That_JuST_sTarteD_PlAyiNg. Look on train for example, he was the only reason they got the rounds they got almost. He was the only one playing for NiP on that map. And no I'm not looking for kills only, but impact frags. And GT had almost ONLY impact frags that map. GeT_RiGhT was the reason they had a great start on D2, he was the reason they had their 5-0 start along with Xizt. And on mirage he maybe didn't have as good map as the first two. But no one on NiP did a good job on mirage except for allu tbh. Maybe you should learn something instead of being a new_schooler kiddo, thanks.
2015-12-06 22:53
so u are thorin brother aka expert? every ppl hv different view..b4 this match i dont care what ppl said about nip or allu..but this time around i tried to figure out...he is the culprit..wait u are talking about gtr or allu?
