EHOME, VG to venture into CS:GO

Two of the biggest Chinese organizations that are known for their DotA 2 squads, EHOME and Vici Gaming, have revealed that they will be building a CS:GO team in the near future.

With CS:GO steadily getting bigger all around the world, especially in Asia, where the scene has been getting more tournaments recently, two Chinese MOBA giants announced their venture into CS:GO.

Savage's CyberZen currently have reign over China

Vici Gaming and EHOME have both been on the DotA 2 map for years, and in the former's case on Hearthstone's and League of Legends' as well, and have a few high The International placings under their belt (4th and 5th-6th at the latest, respectively).

It seems like both will be heavily investing into FPS games soon, building their own CS:GO lineups from the ground up in the near future and setting the goal to take Chinese teams on the world map.

If the exIBP members get unbanned. They might pick them up since they are the only promising lineup in the NA csgo scene. But for now, there is nobody worth carrying the EG banner on NA.

I agree that eg's name is big in esports, but they don't have the history NiP/SK have in CS. There's plenty of other games the EG organization has teams for that may not be top3.

I agree with you that they'd probably want a top 10, and even that they probably have deep pockets. "Richest" organization...I'm not sure, maybe? But having deep pockets doesn't necessarily mean they're willing to spend that much in CS. I often feel that many put EG up on a pedestal, just like glorified stories of eSports in Korea [the pros are celebrities there, etc..]. Recent esports news websites like daily dot probably further fuel these notions...

They have the biggest networth, that's no doubt. Maybe, only iG has a bigger networth due to being own by China's richest man's son. But again, you don't know how much he puts into that team. Richest eSport org must have atleast, a top 10 team. And they are not just one brand. They are: EG, Alliance, Winterfox. All (together because they are pretty much the same team) owned by a company that was a bought by twitch.

2015-12-29 22:33
Thats why i said 3-4 years. They will improve greatly, specially if orgs like EHOME and Vici (maybe later LGD and DK) are behind teams. Taking in consideration their mentality and dedication towards the competitive aspect of the game (taking the example of Dota where they would practice regularly practice 10 hours a day) i believe they will be able to fight toe to toe with EU and NA in years to come. The scene is still small in China, but i think it will grow more, to the point there's a sustainable competitive scene in China.

=D Any. EHOME was legendary in Dota (still considered by many, maybe even most, people the best team of all time...yeah NaVi was good, but you know, they didn't won every single tournament they entered during a full straight year like EHOME in 2009). But in these last 3 years Vici usually has better Dota teams compared to EHOME. As for the org i honestly think EHOME, Vici, IG, LGD and (not sure) DK are great.

Well SK once was the org with most money...still they were pure shit as an org...money doesn't mean the org is good enough. It's about the structure of the org. EHOME, LGD, IG, Vici all proved that they achieve success on a regular basis maintaining it for several years in a row, to me that's the sign of a real good org. But yeah i dunno which Chinese org is the one with more money.
