OpTic pick up a victory at ELEAGUE's Road To Las Vegas following a 2-0 thrashing of CSGL (de_train 16-13, de_cbble 16-3) for the $35,000 first-place prize, as well as a spot in the upcoming $1.2 million league by Turner, leaving the Poles in second place with $15,000.
The veto process of the Road To Las Vegas match-up saw CSGL end up with de_train, while OpTic chose de_cbble for themselves, leaving de_mirage as the decider.
Map one, de_train, started out with OpTic picking up the pistol round on the Terrorist side before losing the following round to a forcebuy on CSGL's side. After an unsuccessful forcebuy of their own, Shahzeb "ShahZaM" Khan picked up the AWP thanks to a triple in the first gunround.
With it, he managed to kill four opposing players in round number five when the score was even at 2-2, but it still wasn't enough to win the situation. After dropping one more afterwards, OpTic pulled back with two in a row on the back of Keith "NAF" Markovic's 1-on-3 clutch.
From there on out it was mostly a CSGL show until the end of the half, whose Mikołaj "mouz" Karolewski wreaked havoc to set the score to 10-5 in his team's favor before switching sides.
ShahZaM and NAF-FLY had an amazing series
The second pistol went OpTic's way as well, and this time it was William "RUSH" Wierzba to help his team to three rounds in a row with eight kills in the process. One round on CSGL's side was not enough to stop the North American momentum, as ShahZaM's team had little to no trouble pick up five more rounds to make it 14-11.
Pretty much as expected, the North American squad picked up where they left off on de_cbble. Six rounds in a row from them as Terrorists were responded to with a single one by CSGL, who couldn't catch a break throughout the entire half.
When another clutch, this time 1-on-2 by ShahZaM, worked out for OpTic at the very end of the half, it was quite obvious CSGL couldn't get back on their feet following a 1-14 scoreline. That proved to be the case after only four more rounds on the map, as OpTic picked up the victory at 16-13, as well as the $35,000 cheque and a spot at the $1.2 million summer season of ELEAGUE.
