Schedule for ELEAGUE released

Turner and WME | IMG have released a provisional schedule for the first season of ELEAGUE.

The competition will kick off on May 24 with a six-week regular season leading up to the playoffs, which will come to a close with a best-of-three final, called the 'Global Championship', on July 30.

During the season, live event coverage will be available from Tuesday to Thursday across several digital platforms from 18:00 to 02:00 and on Fridays - when the matches will also be televised on TBS - from 04:00 to 07:00 .

ELEAGUE will run over ten weeks

Fifteen teams will be taking part in ELEAGUE, some of whom, like Renegades, OpTic Gaming and Echo Fox, have already been confirmed. A final list of participants is expected to be released in the weeks leading up to the event.

i mean maybe scheduling issues? Or They want to promote the NA scene because more than likely, NA homes will be watching it so they want the people watching it to be able to relate in some way.

I dont buy that looks like some of EU teams are going to let this opportunity past by, for sure this league would give a spot to the best teams in the world, if this blows up there is going to be many orgs who regret their decision.

Why would teams care so much about prize when Fnatic is winning everything anyway? Edit: The more prize money, more money for second place I get it.

I can't wait! I just hope it won't turn out to be as horrible as CGS with CS:S.

ROFL this is going to be on TBS on Friday Nights... No one is going to watch at all, it is going to be quite the disaster tbh.

Too many hate comments of the like "shit tier3 teams, no one is going to watch". I also wouldn't watch it but everyone who likes cs:go should be happy that new things are happening in the scene. I also see comments like that in various articles about low tier tournaments. I think everyone should be happy that the scene is growing.

why in the middle of the summer? :D fitting for australia though

Televised on friday nights at 4 in the morning what a joke I have a feeling this league will do more harm than good to CS
2016-01-30 09:43
3 months of all the top EU teams living in the USA. What will happend to all the leagues during that time? just schedule the teams that are over here to play each other until they go back to EU/other areas?
