Ancient win Pantamera Challenge

Despite losing the very first match 1-16, Ancient won the €20,000 Pantamera CS:GO Challenge after a 2-0 victory in the grand final versus Orgless (de_overpass 16-6, de_inferno 16-11).

Apart from the all-important MLG Columbus Main Qualifier, Pantamera CS:GO Challenge has taken place this weekend at Inferno Online in Stockholm, with teams such as Ancient, ENCE and Orgless in attendance.

The tournament kicked off with a best-of-one, round-robin group stage, where Ancient surprisingly fell to Preparation in a blowout performance on de_cbble, as the Danish-Swedish mixture won 16-1.

pauf finished the event with a 1.35 rating

Frej "kHRYSTAL" Sjöström's team came out on top of their group, trailed by Ancient, both of whom played close matches with ENCE, who finished in third place and exited the tournament early.

In group B it expectedly came down to ALTERNATE aTTaX and Orgless for the top spot, with the former edging the latter 16-13 on de_cache.

Markus "pronax" Wallsten and company wrecked ALTERNATE aTTaX in the semi-finals on two straightforward maps, while Orgless overcame Preparation in a narrow fashion.

The two winners then met in the grand final, which Ancient took home in a fairly convincing manner, as they dropped six rounds on de_overpass and 11 on de_inferno.

Yeah.. Must be all sad to win 12500 euros in one weekend.
2016-02-29 06:52
+1 idk what he means with rip pronax carreer tbh
2016-02-29 22:18
Well yes when you could've won 100k or something every weekend
2016-03-01 17:59
No? Clearly not, since he is no longer a part of Fnatic, and now in a new team who has already won a lan which earned them 12500 euro. Still there is a career.. This is only the beginning. Yeah he should have won 100k, like any N/A player out there does. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
2016-03-02 22:58
Thanks captain obvious, that's only what I just said Yes I know na is trash, I dislike almost every player for being too cocky and picky to make a decent team that could consistently be t2 eu level.

Jonas 'Lekr0' Olof's son Better?
2016-02-29 01:50
The fun fact is "sson" is same as "Jr" in Nordic
2016-02-29 01:54
It translates into "son of X". So Olofsson is "son of olof", but really it's not as literal anymore and more comparable to something like "-man" suffix in English surnames "freeman"

Lekr0 is going to be a top swedish player, upcoming olofmeister. You heard it here first. Glad to see him get this far after being battered with false accusations of cheats. Lmao, lets see how other top players fuck with a player(call him a cheater and what not) under pronax's wing. Pronax owns the swedish underground scene.
2016-02-29 02:05
+
2016-02-29 02:27
Some known players in the swedish/Scandinavian scene once got lekr0 banned with 0 proof cuz the admins took the word of these known players over his. But Lekr0s teammate's managed to push really hard to the admins to see reason. And they found no proof and had to unban him. That's why I said being under pronax's wing gives him that political advantage. Political advantage is what pros mean when they say you need luck to get into the pro scene.
2016-02-29 03:36
it was Danes lol

2016-02-29 03:39
They asked him but he refused to join him
2016-02-29 04:04
As far as i know , Twist doesn't want to join a fully committed organisation and wants to play with friends for fun
2016-02-29 04:29
Nope, he didnt want to join since he had already made a deal with pronax. He's not a backstabber unlike pyth. Pyth was also going to play for ancient, but after twist and maikelele refused to join, they asked pyth and, well he betrayed pronax so they had to get devilwalk that ended up leaving ancient

Sweden NIP Fanboy #1
They did not ask Maikelele again if he wanted to join. It was a lie. And ofc Pyth wants to join a team with really good players instead of some random team. And I think that all the players in that team understand him :)
2016-02-29 05:15
Pronax is a way better igl than THREAT and twist is better than anyone on NiP. Also i know you're baiting since no one would name themselves nip fanboy since that gets hate so much.

Ancient over time will become tier 2. Remember kinguin? They used to lose to piter, and other tier 50k teams, now they are tier 1.5 and was 3/4 last major
2016-02-29 05:23
and it was reaaaally close that they won the whole major. people don't even get how close it was. close doesn't count, but still :p winning the semis would've meant they'd roll the finals aswell!
