fnatic edge NiP; Na`Vi over mouz

fnatic came on top of the Swedish rivalry over NiP on de_inferno while Natus Vincere secured their first points in Group A after beating mousesports 16-6 on de_cbble.

The Swedish matchup was on de_inferno and both teams came into it with one won match and a lost one. The game had a suprising start as NiP secured the pistol round on the CT-side thanks to Richard "Xizt" Landström's triple-kill and got the following two rounds as Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund had eight kills in these rounds.

After extending their lead to 6-0, NiP let it slip away as fnatic woke up and picked up seven rounds in a row to take the lead.NiP finally answered back in the fourteenth round and tied it at 7-7 when Xizt had 1v1 clutch. Their bad showing at the start didn't prevent fnatic from finishing the half in front (8-7).

JW with the match-winning smoke defuse

Jacob "pyth" Mourujärvi quad-kill in the pistol round allowed his team to tie it and NiP grabbed the subsequent two rounds (10-8). The weapon round rush into the A-site by NiP was stopped by Robin "flusha" Rönnquist & co. but NiP tried it again in the next round and that time, it worked (11-9). It was tied at 12-12 when pyth clutched in a 1v1 against Freddy "KRIMZ" Johansson. Xizt stepped up massively in the next round, coming on top of a 1v3 situation and stopping the defuse.

When in a 2v4, fnatic retook the B-site as they were behind 13-14 thanks to flusha's quad-kill. fnatic finished off the hurting NiP 16-14 when Jesper "JW" Wecksell successfully defused the bomb in a smoke, living with only 1 health-point.

Just like in the other match, this one also started with a 6-0 lead as Natus Vincere's two losses urged them to win against mousesports. The German team only ended up with three rounds at halftime as Nikola "NiKo" Kovač and Johannes "nex" Maget's efforts did not suffice on the CT-side (12-3).

The second half started a little better for NiKo & company as they picked up the first three rounds but Natus Vincere had enough and reached to fifteen rounds to attain nine match points. 16-6 was the ending score of the matchup.

Pyth had 25+ kills, wtf are you talking about?
2016-03-02 17:49
that doesn't necessarily make him a good fit for the team

2016-03-02 17:53
And how does it make him a bad fit?
2016-03-02 18:57
didn't say he was a bad fit, just saying stats don't make him a good one.
2016-03-02 18:57

It necessarily makes saying kick pyth really stupid in this particular thread, though

Why so much hate, brah? I used to cheer for NIP and wish them to be a competitive team again. They have tried Maikelele and Allu, two very skilled players and it didnt work out. So its OBVIOUS that the other 4 core players need to change. And Fiffy should coach them, :)

pretty funny second pistol round. Like nobody didn't really think it was live because LG guys joined and stayed on the server ALIVE. While pyth did a 4k that pistolround xD Imo they should just have restarted that round, but whatever.. GG, at least fnatic show how you should play in the end while NiP run around like chickens xD
