The ex-Vexed team have released a statement explaining the situation surrounding their release and also their intention to find a new organisation to support them.
Despite a narrowly missed chance of qualification at the MLG Columbus Main Qualifier (while using Oskar "oskarish" Stenborowski of Lioncast as a stand-in), Vexed ultimately fell short of making it to their third straight Major.
The team arrived back to European shores only to be released from their contracts with the Vexed organisation a week later, as HLTV.org reported yesterday.
The team have now provided HLTV.org with their own statement on the release, which includes the all too-often-seen story of unpaid salaries and a tapering off of support as an organisation's fortunes waned.
The ex-Vexed players also mention that they are currently looking for an organisation; the full statement can be found below:
"We would like to thank eBettle/Vexed guys for having us for the past eight months. Under their banner we had some amazing moments and attending two majors was definitely one of them.
"Unfortunately, poor management and lack of new sponsors lead to a situation where the organisation was not able to pay for our travel costs and salaries for the past month, the players didn't get back almost 10,000 Euro.
"The organisation will be shut down and the blame was put on the sponsors, who apparently did not pay for advertisements. They left us without support, even though they could have sold us to other organisations, who were willing to pay enough money for us. At least now, the new organisation will avoid the extra cost of signing us.
We will be temporarily playing as noKappa, so keep supporting us! We are looking for an organisation, so if anyone is interested in us you can reach us via email: firstname.lastname@example.org."
Until an organisation is found, the team will therefore play under the name "noKappa" and can be seen in action tomorrow against PENTA.
