PENTA Sports have confirmed the permanent addition of Christian "loWel" Garcia Antoran to their roster.
The Spanish player had widely been expected to join PENTA after starting to play for the German team since they released David "Davidp" Prince in the aftermath of a failed qualification attempt for the offline qualifier for MLG Columbus.
Such rumours gained more momentum at the end of February, when Christian "loWel" Garcia Antoran departed gBots, with Óscar "mixwell" Cañellas lamenting in a statement to HLTV.org that the organisation was unable to fend off interest from financially stronger clubs.
After impressing during his trial, with positive rating figures in all but two of 13 maps played, the 19-year-old has now agreed a permanent move to PENTA, who are determined to return to the biggest stages after a period in which international achievements were hard to come by.
"After ESL Barcelona, PENTA approached me and gave me the oportunity that I always wanted: to play in a European team," he said in a statement.
"This transfer allows me to focus 100% on CS now, and I will continue to give my very best for my new teammates, as I did in my previous teams.
"I would like to thank my old teammates and managers in gBots for treating me really well all the time. This is a very big opportunity for me and I could not decline this offer.
"I personally want to extend my gratitude to everyone who has supported me, my new team and PENTA Sports as well."
