Starladder has announced its next big CS:GO tournament, called SL I-League Invitational #1, featuring $100,000 in prize money and offline finals in Kiev.
After two months after the end of the Season XIV Finals, which saw fnatic scoop the trophy after beating Natus Vincere 2-0 in the title decider, Starladder has unveiled the first details about its next CS:GO tournament, to be called Invitational #1.
A total of $100,000 will be at stake in the league, which will come to a close with an event at the majestic Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex, home of Ukrainian football giant Dynamo Kiev, from May 19 to 22.
Eight teams will be competing at this offline event, where the top three teams from the European division plus the winner of the Chinese division will be joined by four sides invited by Starladder. Three of these invites have already been handed out, to Luminosity, Natus Vincere and Virtus.pro.
The European division will consist of two separate stages, the first of which featuring four single-elimination brackets, each one with eight teams. The winner of each bracket will automatically advance to the next stage, in which they will be joined by four invited sides in a double-elimination group stage.
The winner of each group will secure spots at the offline finals, with the third European spot being contested by the two group runners-up.
