VG, TyLoo qualify for Asia Minor
Favourites VG.CyberZen and TyLoo have qualified for the PGL KeSPA Asia Minor, as they came out on top of the eight-team Chinese qualifier.
Eight teams stood in the Asia Minor Chinese qualifier at the beginning, and expectedly it was the two favourites, VG.CyberZen and TYLOO, going through the upper bracket quarter-finals and semi-finals comfortably.
The two rivals then duked it out in the upper bracket final for one of the two spots at the PGL KeSPA Asia Minor. The series ended up with Bin "Savage" Liu's VG.CyberZen coming out on top following a three double-digit maps (Mirage 11-16, Inferno 16-13, Cache 16-12).
There, TYLOO started off slowly, only picking up six rounds as Counter-Terrorists on Mirage, but made up for it with a perfect 10-round Terrorist side. On Inferno, TYLOO were in the driving seat all the way through, as after a commanding 11-4 Terrorist side, the favourites secured the second Chinese spot at the Minor with a 16-9 scoreline.
That means half of the teams are now locked in for the Asia Minor organized by PGL and KeSPA in Seoul, South Korea, from May 5-8:
As of now it is unclear as to how the remainder of the slots will be distributed, as the organizers have re-thought the distribution and will be organizing an Oceania qualifier with one Minor slot up for grabs.
