VG, TyLoo qualify for Asia Minor

Favourites VG.CyberZen and TyLoo have qualified for the PGL KeSPA Asia Minor, as they came out on top of the eight-team Chinese qualifier.

Eight teams stood in the Asia Minor Chinese qualifier at the beginning, and expectedly it was the two favourites, VG.CyberZen and TYLOO, going through the upper bracket quarter-finals and semi-finals comfortably.

The two rivals then duked it out in the upper bracket final for one of the two spots at the PGL KeSPA Asia Minor. The series ended up with Bin "Savage" Liu's VG.CyberZen coming out on top following a three double-digit maps (Mirage 11-16, Inferno 16-13, Cache 16-12).

AG.white fought through the lower bracket after losing to VG.CyberZen in the upper semi-finals, defeating EDG and FIVE before taking on TYLOO in the consolidation final.

There, TYLOO started off slowly, only picking up six rounds as Counter-Terrorists on Mirage, but made up for it with a perfect 10-round Terrorist side. On Inferno, TYLOO were in the driving seat all the way through, as after a commanding 11-4 Terrorist side, the favourites secured the second Chinese spot at the Minor with a 16-9 scoreline.

That means half of the teams are now locked in for the Asia Minor organized by PGL and KeSPA in Seoul, South Korea, from May 5-8:

Mongolia TheMongolz  Australia Renegades  China VG.CyberZen  China TYLOO

As of now it is unclear as to how the remainder of the slots will be distributed, as the organizers have re-thought the distribution and will be organizing an Oceania qualifier with one Minor slot up for grabs.

The real question is : how much would those Asian teams weight against EU teams ?
2016-04-10 17:23
CyberZen almost 2-0'd g2 (former Faze) BUT that was when g2 were kinda wierd.
2016-04-10 17:26
I think they could make a chance tbh. Not against T1 but maybe T2/T3

1st will be Tyloo, 2nd place will depend if RNG is playing as Bots or if they are actually going to try. If RNG dont play well than i think VG will be 2nd.

Tyloo's logo is Tian Lu(Tyloo),a kind of mythological animals in China. Not dragon.

it's called PiXiu which has dragon head and kirin legs, i can't remember wht other parts of it's body consisted of. not too wrong to call it "dragon" :),and if tyloo's sticker comes out, we can see dragon lore everywhere

while, unfair that korean has 2 spots for the asian minor.they have to compete against other good teams in eastasia region. the reality is korean team not strong at all .their best team mvp.project only tier 3 team on the whole asian ranks.so, offer 1 spot for korea is justified ,cause this minor held on korea ,thats it.
