OpTic Gaming have decided to retool their roster by signing Spanish player Óscar 'mixwell' Cañellas and bidding adieu to Shahzeb 'ShahZaM' Khan in the process.
Wily-eyed observers may have noticed that Spanish player Oscar "mixwell" Cañellas, who last plied his trade in gBots, suddenly found himself in Canada a few days back, which fueled speculation that the player was on his way to a North American team.
OpTic may not have been a first choice however for many speculators, as the team are currently a strong 12-6 in the ESL Pro League and, aside from gaffes during their Major qualification campaign (dual blows taken at the Americas Minor and during the Last Chance qualifier), many thought this ELEAGUE-qualified team would survive the upcoming post-Major shuffle of players.

However, whispers had long been floating around that Shahzeb "ShahZaM" Khan, part of the OpTic core since the team were known as Conquest (and Sponsorless before that), might be on his way out of the team, mainly fueled by back-and-forth spats over the internet with players who have traditionally held an antipathy towards ShahZaM.
Putting fact to fiction, it has now been announced by OpTic that they have signed the Spanish player as their new fifth, while ShahZaM is on his way out of the organisation. It is also mentioned that Damian "daps" Steele will return to being the team's captain.
When queried by HLTV.org, ShahZaM told your reporter that he will remain in competitive play and will join a new team soon.
