nerdRage round out lineup

nerdRage have added a Belgian and a Dutchman to fill out a true pan-European lineup in CS:GO.

The organisation nerdRage attained prominence (and some fair share of notoriety) last year by fielding a heavily online lineup that included the likes of Joel "jOELZ" Aalto and Viliam "villiG" Andrascik with the latter player being dropped due to being caught cheating in a European qualifier for DreamHack Cluj-Napoca.

After moving on to less-tainted fields, such as supporting a team of Danish players including Oliver "minet" Minet, the organisation finally settled on supporting teams in the UK scene and closed out the year.

CRUC1AL reunites with old teammate kajsk1ng on the new nerdRage lineup

After a period of extreme roster instability which included losing their old roster, signing Infused's roster, and then losing 19-year-old Kia "Surreal" Man to Complexity, nerdRage have announced a new finalised roster that stretches across Western Europe and includes players from far and wide.

The roster includes the core of the old Infused lineup in the form of Josh "mole" Rowley and coach Neil "NeiL_M" Murphy in addition to countryman Aaron "AaroN" Hemmings and Dutchman Joey "CRUC1AL" Steusel, who previously played for fm-eSports.

Saturday's announcement meanwhile saw the roster completed with the addition of Belgian Fréderic "Monu" Dewever, who has been inactive on the larger scene for some time, and Dutchman Kaj "kajsk1ng" van Staalduinen, an old teammate of CRUC1AL's and someone who was last seen playing for Playing Ducks.

nerdRage's lineup is therefore:

Netherlands Joey "CRUC1AL" Steusel
United Kingdom Josh "mole" Rowley
United Kingdom Aaron "AaroN" Hemmings
Netherlands Kaj "kajsk1ng" van Staalduinen
Belgium Fréderic "Monu" Dewever

Ireland Neil "NeiL_M" Murphy

stich writes for HLTV.org and can be found on Twitter

General rules state that 50% (3/5) of the players have to have the same nationality as the region they are playing in. So basicly you can have a swede and a fin and still compete on national level. That is why german EPS teams usually had 2 dutch players in the past. Rules: play.eslgaming.com/counterstrike/csgo/cs.. 3.2.2. Team nationality In general, during matches of ESL national sections, at all times in-game a team must have more than 50% of its players that are residing in or have the nationality of the country or countries that the national section represents.
2016-04-19 11:54
esl.tv/fileadmin/user_upload/Benelux/ESL.. 1.6 Region The ESL Benelux Championship is restricted to residents of the Benelux which includes Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxembourg.

In that same file: 3.10.2 Regional Limitations for Participants Teams must field a majority roster from the regions specified in section 1.6. In the case of League of Legends and CounterStrike: Global Offensive, teams must always have three players participating within each match from the regions specified in section 1.6. 3.10.4 Residence/Nationality and Number of Players in a Team The team roster can hold a maximum of five players, plus two backup players and any managerial staff as outlined in 1.2. A minimum of three players from the regions specified in section 1.6. must be present. Lees verder dan je neus lang is ;) ESL heeft altijd zo gewerkt.
