Tempo Storm to CEVO Gfinity S9 finals

Tempo Storm have been officially invited to attend the $125,000 CEVO Gfinity Season 9 finals taking place in London from April 28 to May 1.

The CEVO Gfinity Season 9 finals were originally meant to only see CEVO Season 8 champions Virtus.pro as the only invited team, however it appears that massive delays in scheduling the planned four North American and three European qualifying brackets have forced the organisers to issue invites to fill out a few of the slots.

With the $125,000 event kicking off in nine days' time, CEVO have now invited a team from the North American side, Tempo Storm of Brazil. The world's fourteenth best team tried their chances in the second North American online bracket but fell short to CLG in the semifinals.

Tempo Storm will be bootcamping in Stockholm before the CEVO Gfinity finals in London

With two North American brackets and a European bracket still in play, it is unlikely that another team will be invited directly to the event unless the brackets (the North American ones are both around the semifinals level whereas the European one is currently in the quarter-finals zone) somehow fizzle out.

The current team list for the $125,000 event from April 28 to May 1 is therefore:

Poland Virtus.pro  Ukraine Natus Vincere  Canada OpTic  Denmark Dignitas
Brazil Tempo Storm North America NA Bracket #2 North America NA Bracket #3 Europe EU Bracket #2

*Click on the bracket links to see the possible teams in contention to qualify for the finals.

The CEVO Gfinity Season 9 finals will be the next premier CS:GO event, running from April 28 to May 1 at the Gfinity Arena in London and with $125,000 on the line.

2016-04-19 19:31
yeah like they didnt qualified to malmo Kappa
2016-04-19 19:21
But TS is a top4 NA with LG, Liquid and CLG. They deserve. I think...
2016-04-19 19:51
Yea but they didn't invite any of those teams, and only one of those three is going to be able to qualify.
2016-04-19 21:25
They probably did invite them by they declined
2016-04-19 21:33
nope all of those teams took part in the qualifier for this tournament so that wouldnt make sense
2016-04-19 21:41
Well then I don't know, lg won't play this tournament since they forfeited their match against selfless in the second bracket. Probably clg will win that bracket and c9 the third one

2016-04-19 19:14
Did Liquid declined an invitation? Also, CLG and LG on the same bracket, and arguably both are better than TS. Should probably just invite LG.
2016-04-19 19:16
still didnt understand, why no LG, liquid, clg or cloud 9?

if someone is wondering why they got invited, it's because they didn't get invited for ECS so they are inviting them for this one. Just to make peace.
