PGL release Asia Minor groups

PGL have released groups for the PGL KeSPA Regional Minor Championship Asia, which is set to take place from May 5-8 at the Nexon eSports Arena in Seoul, South Korea.

The Asia Minor is less than a week away, starting on May 5 with the group stage, which sees eight teams spread into two groups of four, played in a classic GSL-style system.

Renegades are in a group with TyLoo

Each group features one invited team, one team coming from the China qualifier, and one Korean team, while the remaining two teams (from SEA and Oceanic qualifiers) were also split apart.

The groups are following:

Group A Group B
Mongolia TheMongolz Australia Renegades
China VG.CyberZen  China TYLOO
Australia Immunity United Arab Emirates Risky
Korea m0nster Korea MVP Project

* hover over team names to see lineups

The initial round of group stage as well as the elimination matches will be played in best-of-one's, and winners' matches and deciders in best-of-three's. Two teams advance to double-elimination, best-of-three playoffs.

Asia Minor is set to take place at the Nexon eSports Arena in Seoul, South Korea, and will have $50,000 as well as two spots at the ESL One Cologne Main Qualifier on offer.

Lookin forward to Renegades not qualifying
2016-04-29 12:31
no way they fuck up the group stage, not sure about the finals tho
2016-04-29 12:33
Ya reckon? RNG look horrible in ESL ESEA PL and rely entirely on skill to defeat other teams, and Tyloo outskill them easily. CyberZen inconsistent AF tho, but Mongolz gave them a good raping last Minor. As much as i want a really good Aussie team, I don't see Renegades ever being at the level of other teams while they seem to be putting in minimum effort.

They need a coach and org who will get right up their ass about practicing and scheduling pracs
2016-04-29 12:58
Snyper as Coach would do them wonders. Shame he doesnt want to coach anymore.
2016-04-29 12:59
Spunj doesn't like him at all anyway
2016-04-29 13:57
If SPUNJ gave a shit about improving instead of relaxing and acting like they're a top team, He'd get over this shit with Snyper. NA players may be able to do it because of their abundance of players, but AU really cant afford to have some of its best players hate each other.
2016-04-29 15:20
lol, spunj listening to anything snyper says, good one mate
2016-04-29 14:17
Peekay has flown back with the lads to the US as their new coach/IGL. He shouldbe able to help Spunj with igl calls and i can see him setting a strong prac program, hopes are high for RNG

I thought I saw him join the server as coach the other day but I wasnt too sure and I couldnt be bothered checking the demos. Lets hope Peekay does wonders with them and get them to the next major :D
2016-04-29 14:35
they need the org to tell them to get some results or they will be dropped. methinks the eleague spot made them complacent
2016-04-30 10:26
a little bit of optimism wouldn't hurt anyone

Renegades and Tyloo in the same group? That's good, because they won't play against each other in the semis.

renegades will win easily
2016-04-29 13:17
if they win it will be an upset. Mongolz raped them last time, and now this one has Tyloo in it who are significantly better than Mongolz.

I hope we see a Tyloo vs RNG final and they dont have to face each other in the semis.

Sorry but mongolz will top group A you will see
2016-04-29 16:39
Mongolia and Korea are just as Asian as China...
2016-04-29 17:22
Don't worry, this Chinese fella was indoctrinated by his country's communist values.

Honestly, if it were mine, I would break it into about four paragraphs. This is heavy reading of rich content, and the reader needs to absorb it in smaller chunks. But that may well be just my style-- I like to keep the reader awake, and a paragraph break is like a nudge to sit up and take a look around to see where you are.
