The popular streamer, Jaryd "summit" Lazar has announced that he will round out the roster for Splyce at DreamHack Austin.

The announcement came on Jaryd "⁠summit⁠" Lazar's stream where he also confirmed what the team's final line-up will be for the event. On his broadcast, summit mentioned he will be standing in for Andrew "⁠Professor_Chaos⁠" Heintz, however, he didn't go in-depth about why Professor_Chaos would be absent from the line-up.

Splyce will field another stand-in at DH Austin

Last week, Splyce revealed that another one of their players, Abraham "⁠abE⁠" Fazli would not be able to attend the event due to vacation plans; a story which we reported on here. The replacement was immediately announced to be Ryan "⁠freakazoid⁠" Abadir, who until recently was seen playing for Cloud9.

These changes mean that Splyce will be attending DreamHack Austin with two stand-ins. Their final roster for the event will be:

David "⁠DAVEY⁠" Stafford
Jason "⁠jasonR⁠" Ruchelski
Arya "⁠arya⁠" Hekmat
Ryan "⁠freakazoid⁠" Abadir (stand-in)
Jaryd "⁠summit⁠" Lazar (stand-in)

DreamHack ZOWIE Open Austin will run from May 6-8 at Austin's Convention Center and divvy up $100,000 in prize money while representing DreamHack's first event in North America.

So, guess I'm goin to @DreamHack after all. Hope it's a good time. Can't wait to play with my boy @SPY_arya again. :D

Q: Where does the ''1G'' come from? A: Summit simply used it as a tag because the name "summit" was taken. Summit put "1G" in his name because its an old Counter Strike club (named '1st Generation') that was accidentally implemented into the stream as a joke, but he never joined the club. 1st generation used to be a Counterstrike "Club" and I mean used to be, like 10 years ago. Summit was a member and decided to just keep using it, even after everyone stopped tagging and the IRC channel changed owners a few times. There is nothing nowadays that correlates to 1g other than summit deciding to use it for his twitch ridiulousness. 1g is dead and summit is just trying to keep it relevant.
