WinOut sign Keyd Stars, g3x mix
North American organisation WinOut have signed a combination of Keyd Stars and g3x's former teams and will bring the team to live and play in the United States.
With Brazilian Counter-Strike currently experiencing an annus mirabilis, it has often been speculated that it was only a matter of time before a third Brazilian team would make their way to North America in the hopes of gaining further prominence and competitive experience (following the steps of top ten teams Luminosity and Tempo Storm).
Two teams who recently stood out in Brazil were Keyd, a team featuring Luminosity's former coach Renato "nak" Nakano and who have won some regional competitions, and g3x, another team who have won some titles of their own this year.
Both teams actually fell short in one of the most important recent online tournaments in South America, the MLG Regional Minor South American qualifier (which scrappy contender Big Gods won).
nak and the rest of WinOut will compete in North America
However, it eventually came to be revealed that the Big Gods would be unable to acquire visa clearance to attend the Minor in Columbus and this fact, coupled with a shakeup in the wider Brazilian scene, has led a new Brazilian team to form that incorporates three members from the ex-Keyd Stars team and two members from ex-g3x.
Stepping in to sign this team is North American organisation WinOut, who are mostly known for previously supporting a succession of Premier-level rosters and hosting a tournament or two.
The organisation will bring the Brazilian players over to a team house in the United States (which is still being finalised) and they have also worked with MLG to attend the MLG Americas Regional Minor next weekend as a replacement South American team. WinOut also released a statement on the signing:
"WinOut is proud to announce our new Brazilian CS:GO team led by Renato "nak" Nakano. Collectively these dedicated players boast decades of experience and have won numerous events, both domestic and international. We are working together to bring these talents to the United States to represent Brazil and the fans proudly on the world stage.
WinOut will be attending MLG Regional Minor Championship Americas as their first of many tournament appearances next weekend. After the event, WinOut looks forward to participating in the online seasons of ESEA & CEVO. Please show your support to keep this dedicated team in ESEA-Premier!"
The WinOut lineup is:
Renato "nak" Nakano
Bruno "BIT" Fukuda Lima
Lucas "DeStiNy" Bullo
Vinicios "PKL" Coelho
Gustavo "yel" Knittel
Alessandro "apoka" Marcucci (coach)
