Luminosity come back versus Liquid

Luminosity end the first day at ELEAGUE with two more wins, this time over Liquid (Dust2 16-6, Cobblestone 16-14).

The third and last match of day one of the first week in Atlanta was between Luminosity and Liquid and it started out on Dust2, where the latter team already lost earlier to Cloud9.

Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski and Eric "adreN" Hoag kicked it off with doubles on the CT pistol, but their five-SMG buy in the following round backfired and gave Luminosity a string of rounds. It wasn't until 8-1 for the Brazilians before Liquid won their second round in the half due to a 2v2 afterplant win on the A bombsite.

Day one in Atlanta came to a close with Luminosity on top

It wasn't quite enough to turn the match on its head however, Luminosity broke their opponents' economy afterwards and got to 11 rounds before Liquid closed out the half with two rounds in a row.

Nearly all hope for the Americans was lost when the pistol round went into the hands of the favorites, who got another point on the board with a 16-6 win on map one.

Cobblestone followed with Liquid sending a strong message with a quick 6-1 lead as Terrorists, as they won the pistol round and the second gunround, breaking Luminosity's economy.

Marcelo "coldzera" David provided an important double to win his team their second round in the map, but the economy break came into play again. That time around Luminosity tried to forcebuy after just one eco, but they couldn't make it work, while Liquid went on to pick up three out of four rounds for a 12-3 half.

A pistol round going the other way pushed it to 12-5, and Liquid were the ones on bad economy despite winning an eco for 13-5. Losing an unfavorable situation put the score up to 13-10 in quite one-sided rounds before the American squad got to 14.

However, Liquid lost a 4v2, making them remember multiple thrown opportunities at MLG Columbus and ESL Pro League Finals, and the Brazilians came back with six rounds in a row.

Yeah, I think they are getting mentally stressed during some matches and it's a big problem to be solved. Also, I cannot take the merit of LG from being so calm and focused. You see, the Liquid's coach, "PeaceMaker" he was the Tempo Storm coach and used to live close to LG team, they're friends and they know each other style of play. I'm pretty sure that Liquid's performance (12-3) in the first half was a result of a good strategies reading. They should have used this chance, but they missed it because of the 2 things pointed in my other post.

both time against lg they choked, like does this tell me that liquid are a better team than lg, because without this choke they would of beat them both times, its crazy to think that if they beat them at mlg, they had a chance vs navi to win a major wow

I can follow your logic, but I disagree. Think with me for an instant, LG lost BO3 for Tyloo in Dreamhack Malmo, so, in your logic, Tyloo can face Na'Vi and Fnatic and NIP and even beat them with real chances. This we know it's incorret to assume, because Tyloo isn't on their level of play yet. Now, about Liquid, if you look the statistics you'll se that LG dind't lost for them this year yet. Liquid choke in MLG? Yes. Liquid choke today? You're damn right, but that doesn't mean that without the 'choke' factor they would have won anything, specially at MLG wich was a BO3 match. We know that BO1's any team can win if they surprise the oponent, but in BO3's, it's much harder to happen and at MLG the score was 2-0 for LG. Liquid could make 1-2, but I really doubt they could reach 2-1 or even 2-0 against LG. Not because they do not deserve, but because they are not playing Tier 1 level yet. Liquid could have won this match today, but LG ended the day with 4-0 score, and this just represents how they are prepeared for this tournament. Maybe it's not only Liquid who will choke against LG.

no, im saying, if liquid didnt choke at mlg they could of potentially won vs a weakened navi, also it was only 2-0 for lg because after at choke you're so fucking down its impossible to get up, that also a factor why navi lost 16-3 second map, even in mm if im up 15-9 and it ends 15-15 i get rlly tilted (this is dumb af) but im just saying,

I got you, my friend and i'm really happy you brought this. Because that show the importance of a calm and focused Mentallity! Do you remember Fnatic and NIP coming back from almost lost matches? Insane differences of points and even though these two teams managing to win after all? That's were 'NTC' filosofy makes difference, LG never think that a BO3 is over because they lost their map pick and the last Final at ESL Finals against G2 showed us. LG lost their two map picks! Omg, It should affect any team, but somehow they managed to win the BO5. Being affected by loses and not being able to comeback is a factor the teams should work in. It's important and you cannot be a champion without it. There will be aways matches you will almost lose, but you'll not! Belive till the end in you and your team! Even losing, even after lose, keep your heads up and work hard, next time 'There's No Way' you'll going to lose, ok? Hope you understood my point.

Koosta is so bad its not even funny and now adreN with the highest rating on both maps for liquid its ridiculous. Honestly adreN leave and go to clg as support and take hiko with you liquid is a lost cause. So -hazed +adreN +Hiko = Best NA Squad
