ECS S1 finalists determined
All eight participating teams at the offline finals of the first season of the Esports Championship Series have been determined following the end of the online playoffs in Europe and North America.
With Astralis, G2, Luminosity Gaming and Cloud9 already through to the ECS finals after finishing top-two in their respective regions, the teams who placed third to sixth were placed in double-elimination brackets to determine the last four sides booking spots at the event in London.
After barely making it to this stage, fnatic proved their critics wrong and topped the European bracket with back-to-back 2-0 wins over Ninjas in Pyjamas and mousesports. The last regional spot ended up going to Richard "Xizt" Landström's side, who won the Consolidation Final after beating mousesports on two maps.

Over in North America, Team Liquid, who struggled for form in ELEAGUE, were the third team to secure a spot at the ECS finals after picking up 2-1 and 2-0 wins over OpTic Gaming and CLG, respectively. The holder of the final NA spot is none other than TSM, who bravely survived two elimination matches to finish second in the bracket.
The following eight teams will compete at the ECS Season 1 finals, from June 24-26 in London:
