NRG sign FugLy, tabseN

NRG have confirmed on Twitter that they have secured the services of Jacob "FugLy" Medina and Johannes "tabseN" Wodarz.

Jacob "⁠FugLy⁠" Medina had been without a team since mid-May, when he was shown the exit door by CLG after little over four months on the roster.

Johannes "⁠tabseN⁠" Wodarz was also free to discuss his future, having stepped down from PENTA's starting roster at the start of the month, just days after the team finished in second place at the ESEA Premier Season 21 Finals.

The new duo will fill the spots on NRG's team that were up for grabs after the management benched Justin "⁠just9n⁠" Ortiz and Samuel "⁠SileNt⁠" Portillo in a bid to fine-tune the squad ahead of the new season.

tabseN moves to NRG

tabseN is not a stranger to playing for NRG after acting as a stand-in for the team at the Counter Pit League Season 2 Finals, in May, replacing Peter "⁠ptr⁠" Gurney, who had to undergo surgery after suffering a fractured ankle during his flight from San Francisco to Frankfurt following severe turbulence.

The ramifications of this deal are still unknown – while the team are expected to compete in North America on a day-to-day basis, they will have to go through European qualifiers if they hope to ever play at a Major.

NRG now have the following roster:

Thats actually a good question. IIRC Hellraisers during the Minors for Cluj were trying to decide between picking up a EU player and a CIS player. It was not just a decision on who would fit better, it also affected what minor they would play in (EU or CIS). They ended up getting Zero (maybe queztone, i cant remember and im on the toilet taking a shit) and then played in the CIS minor because they had a majority of CIS players. On the other hand the difference on hellrasiers was a slightly longer flight, NRG playing in the EU minor means going to another continent.

That's not true, they played on EU minor, there were Styko Oskar and Zero (EU) and Kucher and Angel (CIS).

Nope, it isn't as he said hellraisers had to choose a 5 and that was going to decide whether they played in the EU or CIS minors he got the major wrong but that doesn't matter

The minors are based on nationality, RNG have to play in. Asia minor even though they live in the US. NRG will be the same with the EU minor.
