G2 over NiP; undefeated on day one

G2 came out victorious versus NiP, taking two more points in the round-robin after 16-9 on Train and 16-12 on Dust2.

The last series of day one, week two, started on Train and it was kicked off with another all-headshot pistol ace, this time by Null element. However, Ninjas in Pyjamas couldn't survive the following forcebuy from G2, as Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom and Cédric "RpK" Guipouy put in doubles to make it 4-1 in their favor, eventually.

Jacob "pyth" Mourujärvi's quad gave his team their second round, but Ninjas in Pyjamas were broke shortly after. At 6-2 for the French-Belgian team, Richard "Xizt" Landström was given a real chance in a 1v4, but he couldn't finish off the last 1v1. The Swedes were able to win three of the last five rounds to earn a chance in the second half at 5-10.

shox put on a great show against NiP

Their chances got lowered once they lost the second pistol round and the upcoming two with Richard "shox" Papillon and ScreaM at the helm.

They only strung together the three rounds at the start however, pyth showed up with a couple of triples, one of which was a 1v3, to lower the deficit to 13-9. Alexandre "bodyy" Pianaro's triple headshot stopped the rot, Ninjas in Pyjamas were in shambles economically and G2 won Train at 16-9.

Map two, Dust2, started well for Ninjas in Pyjamas who got the first four rounds, the last of which thanks to Adam "friberg" Friberg's defuse in a 1v1 situation. G2 then changed up the pace and went with a quick mid-B split, forcing the Swedes to save three weapons.

shox then won a 1v2 after Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund nearly saved a disadvantageous situation, allowing G2 to go on a roll of six rounds in a row. GeT_RiGhT's 1v1 clutch in an eco put an end to the streak, but G2 quickly started a new one with shox putting in big numbers before the half ended at 10-5 (23-7 K-D).

Winning the pistol put his team on an eight-round advantage, and another triple from the French superstar in the second gunround broke Ninjas in Pyjamas's economy, allowing G2 to get to match point after an anti-eco.

A very poor buy from Ninjas in Pyjamas worked out however, and so did the following several rounds, including one where Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg had to clutch a 1v2 to keep his team's chances alive. It wasn't meant to be however, as G2 finally found a way to the last round at 16-12, gathering two more points in the group.

Is it true that shox is the godfather of the French cs scene? Cuz I heard he taught players like scream how to play at a very young age. And also still goes to some lab centers from time to time to play in low tier tournaments and teach stuff to people.
