Astralis pass NRG test

Astralis survive two close maps versus NRG (Cache 16-12, Train 16-14) for two points in Group C of ELEAGUE.

The Finn "karrigan" Andersen-less Astralis and NRG kicked off Group C of ELEAGUE on Cache. As Terrorists, the Danes picked up three quick rounds off of a pistol round, but NRG's aggression from the first gunround on proved to be too strong to handle.

With the newcomer Johannes "tabseN" Wodarz and Nikola "LEGIJA" Ninić playing well, NRG picked up six rounds in a row, as well as three more before the half ended at 9-6 in their favor.

With another pistol round in the bag, Astralis evened the match and soon took a 11-10 lead after Nicolai "device" Reedtz got an AWP ace to his name. Despite the following two rounds going the other way, the Danish number one came out victorious at 16-12 with five back-to-back rounds.

device powered Astralis to two points to kick off Group C

device began the second map, Train, with a quad-kill in the T-sided pistol round for another 3-0 lead at the start. After dropping the first couple of gunrounds, they struck back with three for 6-2.

The half was still very much open for taking however, which NRG proved by picking up three rounds thanks to triples from Jacob "FugLy" Medina and Peter "ptr" Gurney. They chuckled in the following anti-eco, but Fatih "gob b" Dayik's team ended up taking the half 8-7 as CT.

The Danish superstar gave his team the fourth pistol round in the series with a triple, but tabseN's deagle quad-kill in the forcebuy afterwards stopped them in their tracks. NRG kept piling up rounds on their opponents, getting all the way up to 14-8 before a reply came in.

device kept racking up doubles in the following gunrounds, powering the Danish squad to an even 14-14, eventually closing the map at 16-14 with eight rounds in a row.

cause most of the times he misses easiest shots ever.. and even though he may eventually get a kill, a guy he was supposed to kill long ago already killed like 2 of his teammates.. so device basically gave away two of his teammates to a guy he was supposed to kill way earlier i've seen that shit with device so many times..

BOT B showing his true colors once again. Please be a coach, your 1.6 days are LONG GONE. This is why no team in Germany wanted him.

They have played together for 8 days, yet do this good against astralis? I think his days are just starting again.

astralis without their in game leader and having a retired 1.6 player who have never played cs go professionally, yeah great results lol

Lmao did you watch the match? That retired 1.6 player did better than half the players on astralis. For 8 days playing. Two extremely close matches are a great result for nrg, although it would have been nice to win.

He didn't though, he was bottom fragging. Plus he's not better than karrigan
2016-06-07 21:12

He made a huge contribution to their team play and win definitely. With instances like the 3k on b site cache. I can say I don't think they would have won if Karri Gan had been playing. Not saying zonic is better than karrigan, but in this series he was definitely more impact full than karrigan would have been.
2016-06-07 22:54
You need to consider that Zonic might have been put in some of the other players position for him to get easier frags, which means some of the other players might not have been quite as comfortable in their role.

One thing is certain, Dupreeh needs to find his game soon rather than later. Think he'll be the first one to agree. Go Astralis!
