G2 go 1-0 in Katowice

The last match of the day saw G2 beat TyLoo, 6-16 on Cache, kicking off their tournament run in Katowice with a victory.

The pistol round ended when Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom put a bullet in YuLun "Summer" Cai’s head after planting on B site to win it for his team. TYLOO immediately responded, however, stopping G2’s movement toward A and pocketing the second round.

G2 forced armor and tec9’s on the third round, and got a bomb plant out of it, although TYLOO played the retake without a problem, keeping the French team at bay.TYLOO were then able to win the first buy round of the match, getting ahead 4 – 1 and keeping G2 at bay on the scoreboard and economically.

G2 played a slow methodical pistol and armor buy onto B site, and were able to plant the bomb, but were unable to close the round as Summer and YuanZhang "Attacker" Sheng cleared the site and defused to keep the momentum in their favor.

shox's good form is crucial for G2's current run

Down 7 – 1, G2 seemed in a tight spot, but the French team went on to win seven out of the eight last rounds of the half to bring it back to an incredibly acceptable 8 – 7 into the half with Richard "shox" Papillon leading his team’s scoresheet with 20 frags and 10 deaths in 15 rounds.

Four headshots by ScreaM in the opening round of the second half put G2 on track to a victory, but TYLOO risked it by forcing up a second time and it paid dividends, as the Chinese team brought the match back to 9 – 9 after losing the first eco.

G2 didn’t waste any time and got right back on track winning the 19th round with ScreaM and Alexandre "bodyy" Pianaro cleaning house on the B site. From there on out, the French team were in full swing and smooth sailing all the way to a victory, 6 – 16, to secure a place in the higher seeded group before tomorrow’s second round matches.

makes sense since it's swiss system. as soon as team reaches total 3-0, 3-1 or 3-2 matches won, they are qualified. similarly for elimination

So who will play against eachother tomorrow? it makes no sense to close the show without hyping the matchups for tomorrow...
2016-06-09 23:10
If i was the ESL i would still hype it up on the stream to close the show. It's stupid not to hype it up on the stream.
