TyLoo & dignitas get first win

TyLoo and dignitas have picked up their first victory at the ESL One Cologne qualifier after beating Immortals and Empire, respectively.

The second set of matches involving 0-1 teams in Katowice began with an interesting clash between TyLoo and Immortals, two strong teams looking to get back to winning ways after losses to G2 and EnVyUs, respectively, during the opening day of the tournament.

Immortals came out the livelier of the two sides and won the pistol round on the CT side after denying TyLoo the B execute, with the twins getting two kills each. But the Chinese team were successful in the force buy, powered by a trio of kills from Hui "DD" Wu.

TyLoo passed Immortals test

A scrappy period ensued as neither side could stamp their authority on the game, but TyLoo were simply unstoppable during the final stages of the half, winning six of the last seven rounds to secure a 9-6 lead.

The second half began with Immortals picking up the pistol round and the corresponding anti-eco rounds to level up the score, but once TyLoo got their economy stabilised they took control of the game, never giving the Brazilians a real chance to build on the few rounds they edged out.

Next up was a Nuke match between dignitas and Empire. The CIS team got off to a dream start to this game, cruising to a 10-2 lead despite losing the pistol round, with Roman "CyberFocus" Dergach getting crucial kills round after round. After calling a timeout, dignitas were able to adjust their offensive, picking up two more rounds before the break.

The second half followed the same pattern as the Terrorist team struggled to make an impact. With a crushing economic control, dignitas continued punishing Empire and resetting their economy until finally hitting 16 rounds.
