FlipSid3 Tactics have kept their qualification hopes alive in Katowice after defeating Immortals 16-12 on Train in an elimination match.

The last elimination match in Katowice saw FlipSid3 Tactics and Immortals go head-to-head on Train, with Yegor "⁠markeloff⁠" Markelov showing his intent to redeem himself from his poor display against OpTic with a quad kill in the pistol round.

After losing an eco, Immortals went on a full buy in the third round, a move that paid off and eventually allowed them to take a 3-1 lead. But once FlipSid3 got their economy stabilised the tie swung back in their favour as they strung eight rounds together, forcing the Brazilians to call a timeout.

FlipSid3 live to fight another match

Ricardo "⁠boltz⁠" Prass then gave Immortals some breathing room with a 1vs2 clutch, but FlipSid3 rallied back and secure a comfortable 11-4 lead.

Now playing on the CT side, Immortals went on a great run, winning eight of the first nine rounds to restore parity at 12-12. But then FlipSid3 adjusted their offense after a timeout, picking up two rounds in a row to break the Brazilians' economy before ultimately securing a 16-12 finish.

VP should have disbanded a few weeks ago. They just get lucky a few events and they suck nearly every other one. I'm sure they will disband after they next big lan that they go to. Envyus in the same manner. You really can't say SK is a representation of an EU team as of yet but yea, I get it, they beat SK and that's good. Dignitas, ok, yea, they did beat them.

Yeah and i think its unfair that players get more salary than igl's.in game leaders have to put more hours than actual players and they still have to attend all scrims etc.

igls and players get payed the same. sometimes, the coach will get paid the same amount if they are the one calling. most the times,. coaches get payed less than the players

they did good in katowice, but it was the 1st tourn. then, they showed up in good form in na, but because of liquid changes and c9 not in form yet. they now suck. they kick their brain. when the worst aimer, shoowtime, is their 1st or 2nd best player, all said. they deserved it. they are not humble. that's why i hate many brazilians. and i know what i'm talking about, since i'm portuguese.

But it is true that Immortals totally could've just qualified for those events, and especially since they failed to qualify for Austin and CEVO and got direct invited they should really stop bitching about invites and just prove it.

I'm 100 percent sure they were invited to ECS qualifiers, I remember this clearly, not sure about eleague but I'm pretty sure road to vegas had an open qualifier. Just saying if you want to play in events you have to qualify for them, not everyone will invite you, they've gotten plenty of invites after failing to qualify for things. It just smells of arrogance to me to believe you're above participating in qualifiers.
