EnVyUs to Cologne Major over C9

EnVyUs have booked their spot at ESL One Cologne after disposing of Cloud9 16-12 on Cobblestone.

The match began with Cloud9 denying EnVyUs' A split in the pistol round and following it up with an anti-eco. A tec9 B execute from EnVyUs in the third round wreaked havoc in Cloud9's defense, however, and powered them to equalise the score at 2-2.

Cloud9 then regained control of proceedings and strung three rounds together, but EnVyUs grew in the game as it wore on and secured six rounds in a row. The Frenchmen were threatening to run away with the lead, but Jake "Stewie2K" Yip rescued his team with a series of key AWP kills to keep the deficit to a minimum.

EnVyUs recover Major spot

EnVyUs got off to a fantastic start on the CT side, winning the first five rounds to bring the scoreline to a 13-7 advantage. That is when Cloud9's offense flourished, but as they threatened to equalise, the Frenchmen got their act together, locking down the map 16-12.

Remember when this wasn't such a big thing?
2016-06-12 19:34
if stewie stays on this path, he will become a top 10 player in the world (which is what swag should've became)
2016-06-12 19:34
yeah no
2016-06-12 19:35
this triangle head with eyes the size of rice grains is carrying c9, and he hasn't even been playing on an invite-level team for a year
2016-06-12 19:37
maybe top 30 but never ever top 10 lol carrying a team=!= top 10 player
2016-06-12 19:44
could probably give him top20 realistically
2016-06-12 19:45
hes only been playing cs a little over a year he has a lot of potential
2016-06-12 20:25
he played way before man dont listen to that he only played for a year shit he even played 1.6
2016-06-12 20:47
I was just going off of what I heard, but he still does have room for improvement considering how much better he's gotten in these past few months.
2016-06-12 20:50
yeah nope
2016-06-12 19:38
Swag was always better than stewie and achieved more than him
2016-06-12 19:45
aim-wise no, i've watched ibp demos and have seen swag whiff sprays (prob because of his aids sens). swag has played over 15,000 hours of CS, was playing for about 10 years (when he was an active pro) yet failed to become a top player worldwide. stewie's been playing cs since 1.6, yes, but to a degree that pales in comparison to swag's experience, yet his aim has already been LAN-proven (consistent). c9 has been stewie's first invite-level team in his entire career - a career that hasn't even lasted the entirety of GO, yet he's already carrying the fuck out of a team that should be performing at a level deserving of #1 NA on paper.
2016-06-12 19:50
Stevie only started playing 2 years ago..?
2016-06-12 20:07
Nope that guy is right, he has been playing since 1.6
2016-06-12 21:15
wiki.teamliquid.net/counterstrike/Stewie.. "Jake "Stewie2k" Yip (born January 1, 1998) is an American professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player. He is widely regarded as one of the hottest prospects in his region, having only played the game since the summer of 2014.[1] He currently plays for Cloud9 as a rifler."
2016-06-12 21:18
Stewie used to play 1.6, he has many hours on that game, just like in go, just check for example his steam acc
2016-06-12 21:21
you said swag had 15k hours of cs, and was playing for 10 years AS A PRO. so you can only really count 2 years for stewie because thats how long hes been playing pro
2016-06-12 21:24
That was the other guy,but swag really has 15k hours
2016-06-12 23:11
oops sorry, mixed up your guys names. still i agree, swag +1

how is his sens aids? its high or what? and how high it is if yes
2016-06-12 20:33
Aim isnt everything, that's one of the things that makes swag better than stewie, shroud, etc. Plus swag has way more experience, stewie still needs to learn a lot.. And swag still hasn't 10 years has a pro lol
2016-06-12 21:19
no he's been playing at a pro level since he was 14. didn't ever say that the 10 years = 10 years in invite+. the 10 years was counting from the age of 8 to 18 (when he started playing cs to when he was banned). since he's no longer a pro, im not counting the fact that he's 19, which would extend his tenure to 11 years
2016-06-12 21:52

shroud the most overrated player in GO history? Rating below 1 in majors, hardly above 1 on LAN overall, 3 years of consistently being mediocre and yet still people go on about how he should be a top player or how he can make "big plays". Spoiler alert: no. He's a streamer, and even there I just don't get what people see in him. I guess it's comfy.
2016-06-12 19:51

2016-06-12 20:22
Can c9 still qualify for the major, or are they out for good?
2016-06-12 20:27
yea that got 1 more game, if they lose that they're out, if they win they're in.
2016-06-12 20:35

G2 got this. Because Cloud9 usually chokes before 9th round starts. That's why their name is Cloud 9. The reason for Cloud.... We can't see anything through clouds right? So C9 is an inconsistance team which likes to choke before 9th round starts. C.L.O.U.D.9!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
