Astralis beat ENCE in opening match

Astralis defeated ENCE 16-6 on Mirage to kick off DreamHack ZOWIE Open Summer 2016.

Astralis started on the T-side and won the pistol round, losing only one player. Markus "Kjaerbye" Kjærbye's quad-kill in the second round prevented a anti-eco loss and Astralis then won the first weapon round (4-0).

Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen's entry kill in the fifth round extended the lead and Astralis went on to lead 8-0. ENCE had a 4vs2 advantage but couldn't capitalize on it as the first half disaster kept getting worse for the Finnish team. The Finns found life and grabbed six rounds after that and trailed 6-9 at halftime.

karrigan & company start with a win

The Danes secured the second pistol round and cleaned up the anti-ecos without much trouble (12-6). In the first weapon round of the half, Aleksi "allu" Jalli got an entry kill with his AWP but his team failed to convert it to a round win. Astralis won the map 16-6.

What an absolutely pathetic performance from Ence. I don't even know how they managed to throw some of those rounds away.
