Venue for ELEAGUE finals revealed

Turner Sports and WME | IMG have revealed the name of the venue for the semi-finals and grand final of the first season of ELEAGUE.

On July 29-30, the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, a 2,750-seated arena located in Atlanta, will stage the final three matches of the inaugural season of ELEAGUE, all of which will be broadcast online and also aired on TBS.

The ELEAGUE playoffs will kick off one week earlier, featuring the six group winners plus the two surviving teams of a last-chance qualifier, scheduled for July 12-15.

ELEAGUE Finals will be held at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre

Two-day tickets to the ELEAGUE Championship will go on sale at Ticketmaster on Friday morning, with prices ranging from $45 to $75.

I'm sure if tickets sold out quickly and there was a lot more demand then they would probably change the venue to some place bigger.

Well it's still better than their current place. Imo the 2.750 capacity is fine. It's enough for it to be loud, but the idea behind ELEAGUE has always been the television-part.

people said the same thing for MLG Columbus with an arena of 20,000 yet the arena had nearly all of their tickets bought in the area allocated afaik.

MLG has been running Call of Duty tournaments in Columbus for years so they can re-invite their FPS fans. Atlanta is a new territory. Plus, video footage of a crowd to look big is the same in 2500 vs 20000. Probably better to be safe than empty.

M8, Im 16... I have a drivers liscense and a car... I live like 4 hours from Atlanta. I also possibly wouldnt even need to buy my own ticket... I would totally be there if I wasnt already volunteering for a week long summer camp that week.

They have some criteria to determine seeds(points,map wins,round diff,head to head) ,so i think it will be just like a normal quarterfinal matches where finalists will reach playoffs.
