TSM upset Astralis

TSM upset Astralis with a 16-12 victory on Cobblestone in the first match of Group B at the ECS Season 1 Finals.

Group B opened up on Cobblestone as TSM and Astralis clashed to advance to the winners' match. TSM got two entry kills to kick off their T-side but they lost a 3vs2. A sick 1vs3 by Hunter "SicK" Mims tied the game at 1-1 but Astralis replied with a three round streak and extended their lead to 4-1.

As TSM managed to get bomb plants, they started winning rounds and took the lead (5-4). The late stages of the half were back-and-forth and TSM led 8-7 at halftime.

semphis' team with a huge win

Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken's opening kill and Timothy "autimatic" Ta's two kills gave the first round to TSM and they managed to survive in the second round despite giving up three kills (10-7).

The North Americans made it 12-7 with Kory "SEMPHIS" Friesen's triple AWP kill and got one step closer to an upset. Although Pujan "FNS" Mehta got the first kill in the subsequent round, Astralis managed to win it despite inferior equipments (12-8).

After a long technical break, the teams continued the match and Astralis, with the wind on their backs, started a comeback effort and made it 10-12 before TSM answered. TSM shut down the Danes' late push to come back, winning it 16-12.

Well unlike DEVIL, Kjaerbye is actually good at CS:GO. Just Astralis with no respect for TSM and then pick their worst map for some fucked up reason. You can see Kjaerbye knows how to play Cobblestone. The rest on Astralis? Not so much.

Astralis is pure shit in any map nowadays! As I already stated in other thread, the problem with the danish guys seems to be lack of motivation. Everybody knows how capable they are, but they don't seem to be interested in CS:GO anymore.

For some reason after Kjaerbye arrived, karrigan has been shit. If Astralis want a chance at titles, karrigan needs to get back on track. Also, nice underestimating TSM...
2016-06-24 19:39
ROFL, Astralis keep playing that stupid de_cbble, although they don't have any idea of how to play it xDDD Obviously cajunb wasn't their main problem, just like kioShiMa wasn't EnVyUs' main problem, both sucked, kio sucked even more, but kicking them didn't help those teams to get any better. Btw I guess that having solid places in a team (I mean, the players own parts of the orga, so they can't be kicked by the orga, they only can leave if the other 4 players want them to) fu_ked up their motivation, it's like "well, we can lose and still nobody will kick us, so we will still get our salaries no matter what". When they played for dignitas, they were extremely motivated, they defeated *almost* unbeatable fnatic with pronax and then tried their best for TSM, but now they seem to not care much. They remind me of GODSENT - let's tryhard at one tournament and suck at the other 10, then tryhard again and again suck cuz we don't care, nobody will kick us. Sadly fnatic and Luminosity are the only 2 teams that can win tournaments, all the rest suck...

Astralis picking Cbble.. Great job underestimating TSM.
2016-06-24 19:53
Astralis own fault for going with cobble. Way to underestimate your opponent and think you'll win no matter what

2016-06-24 20:11
Cool shit .I wonder why everytime there is a bo1 is alwasy cobble or train the maps unplayed so much , cuz the orgs need money from the spectators, fucking fakes,.. and btw fuck astralis and my 100 euros on them rip my skins..
2016-06-24 20:13
Astralis was never good at cbble, and well tsm impressed in some of their online cbble matches, but well it seems like they can play it really good also on lan
2016-06-24 20:15
losing to the absolute weakest team in the tournament is not a good sign. :S
2016-06-24 20:38
This is not an upset looking at Astralis' recent form.
