zews: "Liquid are a momentum team"

For the winning interview from ESL One Cologne 2016, we had Wilton "zews" Prado talk to us about the last two stages of the tournament.

SK have become the ESL One Cologne 2016 champions following a convincing two-map grand final versus Liquid.

We grabbed Wilton "zews" Prado for the winning interview, which goes in-depth into the semi-final with Virtus.pro as well as the final against Liquid:

2016-07-11 17:25
It's psychology. People in favelaland haven't achieved nothing yet. But the strong cultural mindset of being "with them" and having "their achievements", grants them some pleasure as if they've done something good in life. Pls, let's let our little favela brothers have some fame, their lifes are miserable there..

Dude, BR out of SK is shit and if they didn't had Cold they would have lost groups against G2/FaZe, this team is actually "Not that good" even tho they are the best in the world right now. The rest of Br is shit, Immortals won a minor tournament and they're fucking around like "we're the fucking best team in the world". And im talking from a place that has no fucking pro team that have ever participated in a Major, but i can tell that SK is not going to last for long, is just the time that Cold stays in that GOD mode. But i have to say that they're the best in the world atm, and something else, you won nothing, it was cold who won the tournament :).

The title mislead the viewers that have difficult to understand, like you. He said that Liquid is a momentum team, just like SK is, he never said anything depreciating Liquid, he just said that they handle the momentum better than Liquid, which is so true that SK won the game and tourney.

Liquid is not momentum based, momentum helps, but there is so much individual skill and raw talent on liquid. All 5 players are very skilled, even nitr0
2016-07-10 20:23
Raw skill has no relation with momentum...
2016-07-10 20:34
Did you even read his comment...
2016-07-11 01:26
yes... so ?
2016-07-11 01:26
He literally said nothing about raw skill being in relation to momentum, so what were you trying to prove?
2016-07-11 01:29
Momentum is related to mental strenght and experience, indepentently of their raw skill. To me Liquid firepower is fucking huge but it doesnt matter, they are a momentum team thats why they choked a lot of times before and got crushed this final.

usually, after words like this, teams are dropped down like fnatic.SK aka LG, karma is waiting for you, be careful. But GZ with cup!
2016-07-10 21:59
Lmao that's putting it nicely. Liquid got this far solely on insane individual plays on CT sides. As soon as they become T they start dropping rounds like the police drop black people in USA.
2016-07-10 22:05
How many t side cobble rounds did they get vs navi again??
2016-07-11 00:55
Still, look at those rounds. They manage to win important rounds that hurt Na'vis economy by one of them going insane and pulling 3k or 4k. No strategy just pure pug style rounds. Also it's cobble fucking easiest T map. My point was Liquid are not strategic, they got this far on pure individual skill and not teamplay and tactics. Look what happens when they meet a team that has same individual skill AND strategy/teamplay. They got crushed. The most boring major final thus far in CSGO.
2016-07-11 15:39
They didn't even win pistol but u think they won all the important economy rounds lmao
2016-07-11 15:44
Err they won both pistols on cbble
2016-07-13 23:11
oh i was thinking of another map that map was 16-6 bro how u gonna call that luck lol
2016-07-13 23:13
Never called it luck? Also for your last comment I never said "all" even though it pretty much was all important rounds. Are you even reading? I said they got where they got purely on individual skill and not teamplay and strategy. How is that crying luck?
2016-07-13 23:22
Pretty much proves my point.
2016-07-14 14:32
yeah because they're a random team. s1mple brings so much firepower and nobody knows their gamestyle of this 5 because of the frequent roster changes that's why fnatic won 6 events in a row and everybody relived and thought pronax was shit but this is what they can achieve most. people adapted to their style now.
