Renegades have completed their lineup with the addition of Ricardo "Rickeh" Mulholland from Immunity, team manager Chris "GoMeZ" Orfanellis has told HLTV.org.
The Australian team had been on the lookout for a new player following the departure of Chad "SPUNJ" Burchill, who decided to call time on a playing career that saw him attend multiple Majors throughout 2014 and 2015.
Ricardo "Rickeh" Mulholland is one of the most experienced players in Australia and spent over five years representing Immunity, with whom he attended the 2015 ESL One Cologne Major.
Rickeh is Renegades' new AWPer
"After the recent retirement of SPUNJ we took some time to evaluate our options for a replacement player," Orfanellis told HLTV.org. "We decided that Yam would move to IGL and we wanted a dedicated AWP player to fill that role. With this in mind, we concluded that Rickeh would be the best fit for our roster.
"The addition of Rickeh to the team has been invigorating, as we have scrapped most of our old tactics/positions and started afresh with added motivation.
"We have been practicing as a team for 10 days now and, whilst we were not expecting to be playing a tournament this soon, we are optimistic about our chances of causing an upset."
Rickeh will be making his debut for Regenades on Wednesday, when the team will take on FlipSid3 Tactics in the last-chance qualifier for ELEAGUE. HLTV.org knows that this will be the Australians' last event under Renegades as the players will sign for a new organisation after the tournament is over.
