Splyce complete new roster

Splyce have completed their roster by signing three players from outside of North America: Dutchman Joey 'CRUC1AL' Steusel, Dane Asger 'AcilioN' Larsen, and Mongolian Enkhtaivan 'Machinegun' Lkhagva.

The North American Splyce roster, who most famously qualified for the MLG Columbus Major in 2016, had been linked with a significant roster overhaul following two purges of their previous lineup: one which saw the removals of Abraham "⁠abE⁠" Fazli and Andrew "⁠Professor_Chaos⁠" Heintz and a more recent which saw Jason "⁠jasonR⁠" Ruchelski step down.

The organisation had already been linked by observant community members to some of the newly signed players, however it is only today that Splyce have confirmed the signings of Enkhtaivan "⁠Machinegun⁠" Lkhagva, previously of TheMongolz, and Joey "⁠CRUC1AL⁠" Steusel, previously of LowLandLions, to their roster.

Machinegun will play for Splyce

Machinegun was of course widely seen as the main firepower arm of the Mongolian TheMongolz team whereas 19-year-old CRUC1AL flitted about in various Dutch, Belgian, and UK lineups, most recently playing for a LowLandLions team that combined all three of those nationalities.

A new leak last night also brought the final name to the table, Asger "⁠AcilioN⁠" Larsen, who was kicked from ex-SK at the end of June only to be brought back into the Team X lineup a few days afterwards.

"We are happy to welcome Machinegun, AcilioN, and CRUC1AL to the team! Each of these individuals is immensely dedicated to putting in the time necessary to win and grow as a team. This was a big step for us but I believe it is a step in the right direction," team captain Hekmat said of the signing.

I don't think it would be an USA flag as the flag is determined by a majority of the players locations. For instance lets say navi had a Russian player for Guardian, their flag would be Russia regardless of the 2 other players locations, because there are 3 players on the team from the same country. Not sure if this will be the case, but following rule-sets it would be a world flag.

Sure, this is a weird roster and most likely they will never really achieve something as a roster, but for a player like machinegun it is an amazing opportunity. Probably moving to America, getting a sallarie I suppose and getting to practice more against better opponents. A lot of opportunity for this guy to get notticed. Quite curious to see what he does with it.

I've been following the Counter-Strike pro scene for 15 years. That's the craziest line-up I've ever seen in terms of nationalities. Just like random picks of talents here and there, and "we'll see if it works !". I'm both skeptical and curious.
