mouz defeat G2, to EL LCQ semis

mousesports have advanced to the semi-finals at the ELEAGUE Season 1 Last Chance Qualifier after beating G2 2-1 (16-9 on Dust2, 22-25 on Cache, and 19-17 on Overpass).

G2, who used Simon "Fuks" Florysiak instead of Cédric "RpK" Guipouy because of health reasons, and mousesports faced off in the quarter-finals at the ELEAGUE Season 1 Last Chance Qualifier.

The best-of-three series kicked off on Dust2 and the CT-sided German team stopped the Frenchmen in the pistol round with Chris "chrisJ" de Jong's double kill. mousesports suffered heavy losses in the anti-ecos but ultimately managed to pick them up.

G2 secured the first weapon round with Richard "shox" Papillon's entry kill and grabbed the subsequent two rounds thanks to the opening kills of Edouard "SmithZz" Dubourdeaux. Things fell apart after this point though as the mousesports defense got tougher which resulted in a 11-4 halftime lead for Nikola "NiKo" Kovač & company.

It was business as usual for NiKo

G2 won the second half pistol round but a triple kill by NiKo in the second round was the breaking point as the Germans got the first map victory with a 16-9 score.

Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom and Alexandre "bodyy" Pianaro opened up Cache and the CT-sided G2 clinched a 2-0 lead but couldn't stop mousesports's early weapon buy (2-1). SmithZz and bodyy clutched a 2vs2 post plant situation to extend their team's lead to 3-1 but NiKo showed up in the following round with a quad kill, making it 3-2.

The rest of the first half on Cache was a replay of Dust2 as mousesports took full control and finished the half with an 11-4 lead after winning ten of the last eleven rounds.

Fuks had a hard time as a stand-in

NiKo and Denis "denis" Howell got the opening kills in the second half pistol round as mousesports extended their lead to 12-4. The German side couldn't finish off the match despite a 13-4 lead as G2 initiated a comeback, making it 15-15 to take it to overtime.

NiKo & company, who were on the CT-side, grabbed the first round of overtime and the double AWP setup paid off for NiKo & chrisJ as they led 17-16 at halftime. G2 acquired a match point in the second half but mousesports held on as the teams went to overtime number two.

NiKo & co. led 20-19 after the first half of the second overtime and the German team failed to convert two match points which resulted in a third overtime. (21-21). G2 won the map 25-22 after coming up ahead in the third overtime.

mousesports started Overpass on the CT-side and took the pistol round. NiKo & co. earned a 5-0 lead but The Frenchmen replied with three rounds. mousesports led 10-5 at halftime.

mousesports responded after losing the second half pistol round and extended their lead to 13-6 after winning the anti-ecos. G2's double AWP setup gave them four consecutive rounds and the game got tied at 14-14 afterwards. NiKo's quad kill and 1vs2 clutch gave mousesports a match point. mousesports once again did what mousesports usually does and lost the last round, taking them to overtime.

mousesports finished it off 19-17, winning the series 2-1 and advancing to the semi-finals in Atlanta.

what's really disappointing about mouz is that you know they'll literally fall apart in the playoffs. would have rather seen G2 as a fan of cs, disregarding any bias I have of them

They won't reach playoffs. FaZe will win with them easily. FaZe doesn't over think their game like G2 does and just use their fire power which is larger than this of mouz.
