Virtus.pro invited to IEM Oakland
ESL has announced that Virtus.pro have been invited to attend IEM Oakland, later this year.
The Polish giants are the third team confirmed for the event, joining SK Gaming and Team Liquid, both of whom were formally invited last week.
Virtus.pro were recently in attendance at ESL One Cologne, taking third-fourth following a 1-2 defeat against SK Gaming, who would go on to win the tournament, in the semi-finals.
Virtus.pro to compete at IEM Oakland
IEM Oakland will take place at the Oracle Arena from November 19-20, with the prize fund still to be determined. There are now nine spots up for grabs, and ESL has so far remained silent on whether they will all be filled through invites.
The tournament will see the 12 teams split into two groups of six teams, with the top three sides advancing to the playoffs. Both group winners will earn a bye to the semi-finals.
