Bravado qualify for ESWC 2016

Bravado will once again be the South African representatives at ESWC, having qualified for this year's iteration of the tournament after winning the offline qualifier at the Cape Town International Convention Center.

Bravado won the South African ESWC qualifier in dominating fashion, giving up a single map during the three best-of-threes that earned them a trip to the finals which will take place at the Paris Expo / Porte de Versailles during the Paris Games Week, between the 27th and the 31st of October.

Detrony & co. will once again get the chance to gain international experience

Having qualified directly to the main portion of the offline qualifier and thus not having to play the Second Chance qualifier, Bravado went straight into the single elimination brackets taking out Energy and Aperture in the quarterfinals and semifinals respectively, before taking on carboN in the final in which we saw particularly impressive play by the youngster Aran "Sonic" Groesbeek who earned a 1.44 rating putting up 100.6 ADR and ending with a +32 KDR.

From the 27th to 31st of October, but 2 tournaments will be played : a "talent" tournament (probably only male teams with lower Tier teams with upcoming "talents") and a female tournament. I don't know if the male tournament will be played from the 27th to the 31st (probably not, maybe there will be a french live qualifier like the 27th/28th and then the tournament in itself from the 29th to 31st).

The organizers probably took "bad" business decisions, which don't allow them to put big prizepools. At least they put some interesting tournaments when the scene wasn't that big.
2016-07-31 22:39
indeed, one of the best tourneys in 1.6, i hope they recover in csgo

Sadly not. The Algerian scene is small. For an entire country to have its own qualifier it needs sponsors, budget and a variety of players :)

Algerian scene is bigger than The SA one lol and eswc used to make qualifer for the algerian teams before before they made the sa qualifer.
