eUnited sign ZPG
Ze Pug Godz, a North American team who will be playing in Season 4 of the ESL Pro League, have been signed by eUnited, a new esports organisation.
Ze Pug Godz have always been a loosely fitted coterie of Premier-level North American players, with their latest iteration recently attaining some prominence (and notorierty) back in May when they automatically were relegated to ESL Pro League Season 4 over KKona due to the latter team's roster instability issues.
With the fourth season of the $750,000 ESL Pro League set to start on August 17, ZPG have received a makeover both in name and representation as they have been signed by eUnited (an organisation which appears to be newly created as its Twitter account dates back only to July 2016).
The signing also brings with it a roster change, as Ethan "Ethan" Arnold of Prospects (a team who recently played in the iBUYPOWER Summer Invitational and finished in 7-8th place) has joined up with the team, and will be replacing Steven "rooRoooo" Herrell.
The roster change attracted some controversy due to rooRoooo's previous role in leaving KKona for ZPG ahead of the Pro League relegation match, with Shahzeb "ShahZaM" Khan of Echo Fox taking to Twitter to highlight the irony of the situation.
eUnited's roster for Season 4 of the ESL Pro League will be:
Josh "shinobi" Abastado
Jimmy "Marved" Nguyen
Christopher "cJ" Jones
Daniel "vice" Kim
Ethan "Ethan" Arnold
