First ECS open NA & EU qualifiers end
The first round of ECS Season 2 open qualifiers in Europe and North America have come to a close as RONIN and AGG entered the respective Developmental leagues.
A total of four open qualifiers will have taken place by August 28 in each region. The winner of each qualifier will advance to what ECS call a Developmental league, which will also include four invited teams.
Eight teams in the Developmental league will then play best-of-two series against each other over a span of three weeks, kicking off on September 9.
AGG advance to the European ECS Developmental league
Top two sides in the league will face off against the bottom two teams of ECS Season 1 — Dignitas and Natus Vincere in Europe, Echo Fox and Kaliber in North America — with winners of the promotion matches qualifying for ECS Season 2.
So far only the first round in each region was played out, as RONIN came out on top in North America, while AGG finished first in Europe's first open qualifier with Kamil "kamil" Kamiński standing in for Karol "rallen" Rodowicz.
