Are they still doing that stupid double Bo1 format they used last season? I preferred the random Bo1 format they used the first two seasons. I like the idea of playing a team once and then getting revenge a couple weeks later.

Great, another boring 2 month online league.
2016-08-15 22:30
how is it boring?
2016-08-15 22:32
Online matches aren't exciting at all. Just BO1s mostly between average teams that lasts ages before it gets to the LAN finals which is the good part of the league.
2016-08-15 22:41
so what? dont watch it then. It'd be stupid not to stream it then. Thats how esea leagues work.
2016-08-15 22:53
I don't watch online matches, but what I'm saying is that the online league is way too long and gets boring quickly. ELEAGUE had the same problems because 6 weeks of the tournament focused on the group stages, which is what this online league essentially is, a massive group stage. Don't forget that the servers are shit as well.

"ESL has announced that the event will have more teams than previous iterations, but the exact number has not yet been revealed." Best idea: Top 4 teams from America and Europe qualify 5th-8th in each league have a play-off that leaves two teams from each (bc ESL love play-offs) Then the playoff groups are as follows (Bo3): #1 EU vs #4 US; #2 EU vs #3 US; #3 EU vs #2 US; #4 EU vs #1 US each loser plays a team from play-off. The winner of that match progresses (as a second seed). The play-off teams have a smaller chance of qualifying (so the league placings actually mean something). Then a straight elimination to find the winner 8)
2016-08-15 23:15
we all know EU gonna rekt NA if the system is like this. as we just saw what happened to NA team in ELEAGUE xD

Pimp is the biggest loser in CS rn. Do you really expect me to accept the fact that he gets a free pass to the legend's spot and gets free sticker money he didn't earn for shit? OK im kinda biased, I still want revenge for nico
