European WESG details announced
StarLadder opened registrations for the WESG European Regional Qualifiers and revealed details about the $75,000 Regional Finals that are going to be held in Kiev.
Following the end of the African and Middle Eastern qualification cycle, the European and CIS part of the WESG qualifiers is set to start in mid-September, kicking off with national and sub-regional online qualifiers.
The "Europe and CIS" region is split into 15 different qualifiers, with big CS countries such as Sweden, Germany, Poland and Russia getting their own qualifiers and smaller regions such as Benelux and Adriatica being grouped into sub-regional qualifiers.

There are 20 slots for the Regional LAN Finals and they are distributed in the following way:
|The UK and Ireland & Iceland||1|
|Northern Europe & Post CIS||1|
|France and Monaco||2|
It is important to note that even though some qualifiers are sub-regional, the competing teams must consist solely of players from a single country - a rule that will force multi-national teams to swap rosters or use stand-ins if they wish to compete in WESG.
The Regional LAN finals will be held in Kiev from the 6th to the 9th of October, with specifics about the format still unknown.
Registrations for the respective online qualifiers are available on the StarLadder WESG website.
