SL i-League S2 moved to Kiev

Starladder has announced that the SL i-League StarSeries Season 2 finals have been moved from Nanjing to Kiev.

In a statement, Starladder explained that, with the G20 summit taking place in Hangzhou from September 4-5, China has tightened up its visa policy as part of a temporary increase in security measures.

As a result, several players have been denied visas to enter the country, while others have been hit by visa delays, a problem that, according to Starladder, many international tourists have experienced since the start of the month.

SL i-League StarSeries event moved from Nanjing to Kiev

Faced with the prospect of many teams withdrawing, Starladder has decided to move the event to Kiev, with the dates remaining unchanged (September 7-11).

Meanwhile, Starladder has announced that Team Liquid and fnatic have both pulled out of the event, with HellRaisers and GODSENT having been invited in their stead.

Below you can find the provisional list of participants for the tournament, which will have a $300,000 prize fund:

Ukraine HellRaisers France G2 World Natus Vincere Sweden GODSENT
Denmark Astralis Poland Virtus.pro Sweden Ninjas in Pyjamas Brazil Immortals
China VG.CyberZen China TYLOO Korea MVP Project Denmark Dignitas
Denmark X France Envy North America OpTic Other TBA

Simple for s1mple On a serious note, idk how the chinese scene will ever grow if they can't ever leave and other teams can't enter which is a shame because I think Tyloo (and to an extent VG.CyberZen) could be very good teams if they had to face that level of competition.

Nah, Liquid best NA team man. They only got 2-0'd by the legendary team Echo Fox. That makes them at least the 3rd best NA team (actual NA teams, I'm excluding the good (aka Brazil) teams) right now cause Optic is tanking and TSM got overrated as all hell (and is now losing to Renegades) because they managed to beat SK on 1 map in ECS (Winterfox also did this back in EPL), and because Astralis is retarded and decided to play TSM on Cobble which is one of TSM's best maps and one of Astralis' worst. So in short, Echo Fox major champions.

At least it isn't Liquid. I want to maintain as much innocence to the fact that NA is absolute dogshit even compared to where it was a couple months ago. Liquid lost s1mple and we saw how well that worked in ELeague, Optic is tanking now (my guess is due to the coaching rule), TSM got way overhyped and just recently lost to Renegades. Now I have to go about my day talking about the big 3 of NA CS: Cloud 9, Echo Fox, and Optic.
