xelos parts ways with Epsilon
Epsilon have announced the release of Jerry "xelos" Råberg as the team are looking into other options.
Over the past two weeks Epsilon have been playing without Jerry "xelos" Råberg, fielding stand-ins Niclas "PlesseN" Plessen and Fredrik "slap" Junbrant in his stead during the ECS Season 2 Development league open qualifier #2, and DreamHack Bucharest closed qualifier, respectively.
Today the organization announce the release of the 23-year-old, who has been part of the Swedish roster officially since June 1 after a month-long trial period, while the squad are currently looking into replacements.
xelos leaves Epsilon
Under xelos's leadership, Epsilon garnered wins at Pro Gamer League Summer and ESPORTSM, as well as a second place at ASUS ROG Summer following a loss to Space Soldiers.
“I’m no longer the team captain of Epsilon nor am I a part of the team. It has been a very nice journey playing with new talents and we managed to become a great team and also to take home two titles and show a lot of good counter-strike.As you all know, I was the In game leader of Epsilon and I split with the team due to them taking this decision.I want to thank all the guys in the team for giving me the chance to play with them! But mostly I want to thank the people behind Epsilon especially Greg, Samy and Kurtis for making my time in Epsilon the best I’ve ever had in a organization, thank you. I know we will cross paths again sooner or later.Right now I’ll focus on playing as much as possibly while maintaining my mindset and goals and develop myself as a player and leader. I’m looking forward to my next challenge!”"I’m no longer the team captain of Epsilon nor am I a part of the team. Epsilon are down to four players:
William "draken" Sundin
Fredrik "REZ" Sterner
Joakim "disco doplan" Gidetun
Fredrik "freddieb" Buö
Christian "chrille" Lindberg (coach)
Unless the team receives an invite for ECS Season 2 Development league as a replacement for Natus Vincere who dropped out, draken and company will take part in the last European open qualifier.
