TSM sign Relyks

Team SoloMid have found their fifth player by signing Skyler 'Relyks' Weaver, who left Selfless Gaming earlier this week and was widely expected to link up with his new team.

TSM's shift towards focusing on a North American team at the beginning of the year looked like a gamble to many considering the marquee organisation's previous Danish lineup (the current Astralis) but Kory "SEMPHIS" Friesen and his teammates finally appeared to be making headway with strong maps in their ELEAGUE group and a 3-4th place finish at the ECS Season 1 Finals in early summer.

However, TSM's chances at consistency took a dent during the August season of roster shifts, which saw Timothy "autimatic" Ta leave to Cloud9 and only four active players on the roster. To fill the gap, the team announced they would be using Justin "just9n" Ortiz (formerly of NRG) as a stand-in.

Relyks will don the TSM jersey for future events

However, this week threw up an unexpected shift as 21-year-old Skyler "Relyks" Weaver stepped down from Selfless and the player was widely linked with a move to TSM by many in the community.

Those speculations have now become true as TSM have announced the signing of Relyks as a permanent fifth for their team. The statement mentions that the team had been in talks with the player during autimatic's departure but only finalised the contract last night.

With the announcement that Relyks would be on his way to the team house to begin practicing, the player also spoke a few words on joining his new team:

"I've been a fan of TSM since the original LoL roster with Chaox, TheOddOne years ago so it's pretty awesome that I get the chance to represent such an awesome brand. I think there's a good mix of young talent and experience on the team and I think I'll fit in pretty easily. I'm excited to get to work and see what we can do!"

The team will have their offline debut at the upcoming $100,000 Northern Arena which takes place from September 1-4 in Toronto, Canada.

TSM's lineup is now:

Canada Kory "SEMPHIS" Friesen
Canada Pujan "FNS" Mehta
Canada Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken
United States Hunter "SicK" Mims
United States Skyler "Relyks" Weaver

United States Soham "valens" Chowdhury (coach)

They change calling around and like semphis sometimes calls and or fns. This was stated on semphis' twitter a while back. Also Stanislaw was a mid round caller on optic stated by himself and he is very similar to autimatic so i dont think it would hurt to get stanislaw

omg who the fuck ever cares about this team or him and I am very serious right now. What the FUCK are they ever going to achieve? A disband.... news are news but such news are literally something to laugh about. Only the muricans which are the most ridiculous patriots in the world would ever care about such amateur teams. Yes stupid of me but still TRUE AS FUCK
2016-08-27 07:52
I'm not even going to try to explain the relevance of the German scene to you because this is obviously bait
2016-08-27 08:16
and now check this out: I've never created a thread about the german scene, never. I am not a fan of mouz. I am a fan of the very best. And what now? "not even going to explain" cool! because otherwise you'd waste your time. Obviously a bait? NO it's not a bait at all. Obviously you are trying hard but why.... do you really think that C9 or Liquid are good? They fucking suck xD I am literally laughing when I see murican CS rooster changes because ffs they will never achieve anything. Your nation is waaaaay to dumbed out to win a tournament where EU teams are presented. It doesn't even matter if it's ENCE or any other very shitty EU team, they are all capable of beating your very best teams. Are you enjoying to watch your very best teams getting rekt? I don't and I don't give a fuck about german CS scene. Again... You can check my history or whatever and you will not find a single thread about mous or similar. I care only about the best and NA are FAAAAR way from being even GOOD. Liquid got carried by s1mple, now he's gone, Liquid now are a bunch of emo's crying and trying hard but let's be honest xD they are a zer0. Hiko is a good player but he is literally a noob compared to other top EU playrs So tell me more about the german scene because I give zero fucks lol btw. you maybe noticed that I'm not even talking about TSM because they are Tier 10 in my eyes and nobody but muricans give shit about them. They do not deserve any respect since they can't even achieve anything. The "managers" are keeping these teams to earn some more money from the sponsors which don't give a fuck about your teams, they only make profit from them xD

It's about being able to express yourself / your thoughts. If you are going through life with the motto "TL:DR" - you are already a waste and exactly what they want you to be so that you don't question stuff, just obey and and sell your own life, time and energy for so cheap that they even make millions for your work. Learn to be a more wise person and to read larger texts because that's where information is. Look you wrote 3 sentences and all of them are just completely useless - who is actually triggered, the one who is expressing himself or the one who is judging on a text which he didn't read but yet bothered to leave a comment xD rekt

They have arguably the most talented young fraggers in NA with SicK and Twistzz. Now they've added Relyks, who's also improving as a player. Only weak link is FNS, but he certainly hasn't been as bad as he was with CLG. They could perhaps move him down the line, too. Selfless wasn't really going anywhere with their predictable run n gun style of play. Who in that roster really had the upside of SicK and Twistzz?

I really do think this is a good pick up for TSM. Relyks has the potential to be a top player in NA if given a proper team. Selfless (back when they were EnemyGG) were on the rise in NA until Koosta left and from there it went downhill.
